That would be amazing

http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/12...Cavendish.aspx

Think the British riders are going to have to turn themselves inside out to deliver Cav to a bunch sprint: “We will set out to make the race as difficult as possible, but the five of us cannot do it alone. We will count on the Italians and Spanish for help, for example; ‘Cav’, of course, has an excellent team around him.”

I don't see how he fits with Sky's goals and ambitions, so imagine it's his agent at work, trying to flush out other interested parties.

Agreed. Cult figure though he is, I'm not sure it is the right message to have an alumnus of both Riis and Bruyneel on Sky.

Hardly, a single podium place at L-B-L. THey might as well keep Flecha, he might not win but he's always at the sharp end of the cobbled races.

It's Bourgain who's doing the Road Race to get his mandatory second Olympic event. Forstemann is doing the Mountain Biking....

I hope pics surface before Forstemann climbs off after 5mins.

I hope he doesn't, I'd love to watch him try a technical ascent. He would certainly be very difficult to overtake, his thighs brushing the bushes on either side of the course

Anyone know what bikes Team GB are riding for Limpics? I know they usually ride their own team issue but have just seen a picture of Wiggo on what looks like a typically unbranded "secret squirrel" bike.

Anyway, if Phil Liggett thinks MTB and BMX have no place in the Olympics then I think we should have more of them both.

Wiggo to win the TT then? With Tony Martin seemingly short of form and Cancellara suffering, who else can challenge?

Froome, Chavanel, LL Sanchez, Larson, Hesjedal, Boasson Hagen, Taylor Phinney, Pinotti, Rogers, Westra, Vino (assuming he has another transplant)? Who am I forgetting?

Podium from Wiggins, Froome, Martin, Phinney I think.

Wondering if Froome and Wiggo may have fucked themselves in the RR. Martin did some work at the front then retired, and Froome blew early too (wondering now if he was trying to save himself) but Wiggo buried himself in the chase.

Although Cancellara is a little banged up, he like Martin may be fresher, wonder if that may make the different

Did Tony Martin pull out willingly or did he crack? I thought it was the latter, after he did so much work on the front on the first few laps of Box Hill.

Difficult to know, I assumed he retired to keep a bit in the tank. Would be strange for the Germans to use him up like that, but they rode a strange, disinterested race.

The form of course points to Wiggins, although he has been beaten in TTs this season. What's the course like?
