I can't make this, sorrrrry.
Nice one, I'll check it out. Thanks!
@Nahguavkire Do you know if it's still open then with them building? Only as I'm going back there soon to do a few weeks of riding. My favourite thing about the place is the rocks!
@Nahguavkire Agreed, Ballinastoe is so much more fun! I can't wait to go back this Summer. I got chatting to a local who said if you drive further down from the main trail centre there's a lot more runs that are used in the Enduro World Series.
Ha! Love that.
Where are you based? She's welcome to try my small SC Bronson for size (it's a small), I'm in Surrey most weekends if you're ever about riding.
I don't think it's sensible with her height.. only because I'm guessing she's around my height if she's on a 16" frame and I would never consider a 29er. I'd sell any parts you aren't going to need for extra cash and buy new (steel over cheap Ti) and go with 26/27.5.
Since I got one in November it’s changed the way I ride. I’m way more confident hitting jumps and drops as I know I’m not going to get caught out. Climbing hills I can put it right up and not worry about having to get out of my saddle. So I’ve only really used it on trails so far, but my mums partner does XC and finds it useful too.
It’s also super fun showing someone who’s never seen one and seeing their eyes pop out haha.
Tell me about it, my body is in agony and I’ve been in bed by 8 every night this week. I’m wrecked.
Haha, I’m not going slevless! I don’t intend to do triathlon! Strictly mountain bikes guys, strictly mountain bikes..
Still wearing lycra though, on a road bike.
OH haha. Nah, don’t worry Pete.. I wouldn't be seen dead in lycra kit.
Also Swinley was mad busy today, get there early if you can.
I’ll probably swing by for a couple of hours after my morning swim.
Yeah do it. My first mountain bike was an on-one and it was great, really good value for money too.
East to west really was a killer this morning, to the point where I had a banging headache when I'd finally got into work over an hour later. Not too bad on the way home though, I saw a Trabant in Peckham so my day has been made.
I'm not sure why anyone would openly WANT to go to Burnley..
Good human, great seller.
I had planned to but ah well.
I’m going to try that too; more forests less roads. I’ve really grown to hate road cycling after a year of long commutes.
I can’t do TORQ in your sleep next year now as it clashes with a holiday unfortunately.. But I did some of the TORQ Brass Monkeys Enduro route today at Frith Hill and that was super fun. Anyone done it before?
I’m going to Windhill sometime between the 16th- 23rd if anyone would like to join.
No specific date yet but if there’s interest I’ll share more info when it’s sorted.
Not enjoying the fact the Hyde Park gates by Bayswater station are shut before 4:30 now, kinda ridiculous as it’s so early, though I get that it’s very dark.
Anyone know of a nicer route though that allows me to avoid the road to the next gates by Lancaster Gate? Too many close passes from coaches.
Haha, sorry. I wanted to get out of that pack of reaaaally slow, wobbly riders. I usually hit the bridge just before 5 and it's lovely, it was a bit of a shock to see it's still so busy at this time of year.
Are you still on the Brooklyn?
I got a new bike that needs testing out! Anyone want to join me in Swinley this weekend?
I got a Bronson!
