There's an absolutely infuriating section of cycle path on Trafalgar Way in the Wharf that alternates between shared and split. There's a narrow, blind bend but as it's a path of desire you get all the peds on it too. Seen a lot of close calls there.

I think the rocking is a known issue - something to do with the pedal compressing (check back a few pages). Seems to happen quite fast to my cleats too. Quite annoying.

You'll see a lot of the pros on Speedplays using the SIDI carbon sole protector with their cleats. Personally I find the feeling becomes really 'icy' if you have lots of float. Works well enough though. (If anybody needs the 3 hole baseplates because theirs are worn, PM me).

I think it's mostly to do with a lack of subcutaneous fat in that area. i.e. your bodyfat % decreasing over the years meaning you can clearly see them versus the veins increasing in size (somebody with a medical degree feel free to correct me).

The right angle will take it really close to the microSD slot no? Think the best orientation to get is 'Up' from Greenbank's post. Let us know if it works.

I'll give TP a shot. Dabble with GC, but it's complexities and sheer power sometimes feels really awkward. Like what @miro_o said. I might bother to sit down and watch a whole load of youtube videos about it.
