Thanks for your comments!
Here's a closeup of the bar tape. I quite like it, brings some colour to an otherwise slightly dull colour scheme.I took these pictures with a Canon EOS-1DS and a Zeiss Sonnar 85/2.8 (M42). I think this is my second favourite lense for bike pics.
The front rack on my grey BLB is an old Blackburn Mountain rack.
Project Dead Fish is dead to me, I sold it after the bike had sat outside for a few months with no progress whatsover. Sadly I don't have time for such a pile of... large project right now. I think the saddle would have been okay, I figured out the scaly surface would have gotten smoother with some use.

I bought this some time ago (sellers pic), it now looks like this:So, the bike is a GT Peace Tour. We sold a few of these during my first years working in a bike shop ('09-'10). Reynolds steel frame, disc brakes, plenty of tyre clearance etc. I've kept my eyes open for one of these for a few years now until finally finding this practically unused one. My changes to it were minor really, On-One Brian handlebars, Cambium, tyres, etc.
I've mostly been riding it on mtb trails. With the Rock'n'roads it's a lot more capable bike than my '98 Kuwahara. I thought about converting it to 1x9, but I seem to really need the granny gear... One thing I'm missing is a dropper post. Does anyone have experience with the remoteless ones? I don't need to adjust the seat all the time, but being able to get it out of the way for some descents would be nice.

One thing I've always liked about Saabs is the active online community, most faults are quite well documented on forums etc. I currently have a -05 9-5 Aero Wagon after owning a number of older Saabs.
Yesterday evening I seem to have managed to fix an intermittent lambda-sensor issue by soldering a wire connection in the ECU wire loom.

The year hasn't been the easiest. But at least I have had time for a quick camper conversion of a WV Transporter, some driving around with the family during summer and building this little thing:
A Kuwahara Nagano 1x7 with some wide moped handlebars.
Oh, and my wife painted the San Sebastian. Old black paint was getting quite scruffy, I really like the new mondrianesque look. -

I softened the leather and saddle is reshaping as we speak, we'll see tomorrow if it works. I'm feeling optimistic. I've documented the progress in my Instagram stories, if I ruin the saddle I can let the content die in peace, if it works, I'll document it somewhere more permanently.
Thanks!

I sold my mountain bike as it's seen way too little use lately. It was a cool bike, an old Nicolai Bass DFL, way too small for me but really a blast to ride.
I heard 26" is dead and 650b is the way to go nowdays so I got this instead:
It sort of fell in to my lap, "sort of" meaning I gave a bit of money to a guy in exchange for the bike.
The condition is awful and I'm not sure why the hell I bought it, but some of my earliest memories include a '70's Peugeot PX-50 and an orange children's seat, I blame sense of nostalgia. Also I've never seen one of these with cantilever brakes and randonneur brake levers (here installed the wrong way around).
I think the French bikes from this era are really beautiful.
Even though their sense of ergonomics is a bit odd. -

New addition to the herd, a Tommasini cyclocross. I've been sort of wanting another cyclocross bike since selling my Trek Crockett Di2 some time ago. This one popped up and after a lengthy 15 second consideration I messaged the seller and bought the bike. On a trail it feels just as suicidal as an old fully rigid XC-26er, just faster.
I'd say the bike is from the early '00's. It's been sitting on a trainer for a few years and overall condition is really nice. Sadly the paint is a bit faded on the non-drive side. I've only changed the tyres, stem, pedals etc. minor stuff and I'm quite happy with the bike as it is, in the future I'd like to replace the ahead adapter, stem and OS handlebars with a more period correct quill and 26 mm bars.
Also, it's really weird doing business at a distance, not shaking hands and so on, especially as the seller is wearing a mask. The learned habits on how to behave in these social situations are quite strong.

Damn, RIP indeed. Something Wild and Hatebreeder were big albums for me 20 years ago.
