I have two Montellos so.. yea, I think its a Montello!:)
(though I might be wrong, en expert should clear this up for you:))
A few things that indicate it are:
SLX tubing,
No bridge between chainstays,
Beautiful things on BB with P engraved.
And they put Treviso stickers on Montellos..
I don't remember other things that make montello a montello, you should look it up. I cant find it right now.. There was a website that very clearly stated indications.
I think weight is a definite thing that shows authenticity. Its lighter than same size Treviso by some 200g?
So before you build it up, do that.
Beautiful frame, not my taste of colors:)
Good luck with the build! -

26.8mm says my old measuring tool, but I bet its 27.2mm
I tried putting 27.2mm seat post and you would have to push it quite firmly to get inside. Then it stays there and screw just tightens it.
26.8mm post slides in easy but there is quite a lot of movement. Although after you tighten it, I could not move the seat in any way
So I would say its 27.2mm -

Bike is totally new, very few scratches on the frame, does however, have a number imprinted on the frame just under the top joint, on the seat tube. You can see it in the pictures.
