This will be a LAST MAN STANDING Knockout race, an elimination RAD RACE in the KO system with 20 riders per race ( we are still testing ) . The Heidbergring provides us with a beautiful 850m long clean paved track route ... Our hearts opened, when we saw this for the first time ... So almost a track cycling competition, but without the inclined path.

After each round, the slowest driver will be eliminated. We expect that we will start the competition a first knockout round with 8 races, so with about 160 male drivers (and 40 female drivers that start from the semi-final). And then you go through to the final, in which the racers then extend a winner. Until the last man and the last woman are still standing.

Please pre-register for the race, so that we can plan the event better. Proper registration will start in the next few days.

WHO CAN TAKE PART:
There will be different classes for Fixed Gear, Single Speed and road bikes. And preferably also we'd love to have you competing against each other, so you can prove who is the fastest.

Did anybody ever consider of racing fixi's or other bikes on an indoor kart track? They already done so in Riga / Latvia, organised by Tru Fix Crew.

We have still a few Royal Mail Pashley frames, with horizontal dropouts, which are suitable for fixi projects. We are a not for profit organisation and are seeking to build and sell them for cost to a fixi project. The hand build Pashley frames are not suitable for racing, but very sturdy and not easy to destroy.
We are looking for a potential client who needs ca 20 fixed gear bikes for a project. The frames can be painted and build to custom specifications. Please get in touch with Druid Cycles CIC if interested.

We have a 62 cm KTM bike fully restored of Austrian origin £350, I metallic blue 62cm Mirage ready to go for £290. both bikes are geared with 14 speed. Also possible a 60ies Peugeot frame, not restored yet, which is 63cm.

the roberts frame is nice, if one could buy it for £200.

re: bike theft. when buying a bike I recommend noting the frame number down and take a picture of the bike. this will already help later to identify the bike. If you can, dont by an off the shelf bike, stick to something unusual, like a specific vintage frame. have it marked, this will keep some of the thiefs away. If you cant find your bike on Bricklane, try Nine Elms Lane, the New Covent garden market on sundays. I know of a person selling 4 stolen bikes an hour.

you can get filler, they use for car dents, sanding paper and fill in the dent in 2-3 stages. spray paint after. thats the best solution to fix the tube.

try Herne Hill velodrome. they maybe have a few old track frames and would sell one to you and you spray paint yourself. for your budget, you cannot get a track frame.
