Nice! Really like mine. Wish the tops were slimmer, the dimensions weren’t printed front and centre and the forearm cutout wasn’t there, but good bars.

Need the washer pictured. Has a little nub for a chain spotter. Came with most braze on Sram mechs I believe.

Celebrating my lowest mileage year in a while by treating myself to a Venge from @coffeekeyboard. I've not updated this thread in a while, but seeing as this is a certified forum bike (two or three previous owners) I thought it only right to share my experience with it.

It's always been a dream bike of mine since 2012 when I really got in to riding, the McLaren collaboration blew my socks off as a 15 year old. At the time my budget could only stretch to a £250 frameset from eBay that, to its credit has lasted me ever since. I’ve always thought this bike was a bit big for me and my short legs (54cm), so while I’m not getting out on the bike much, why not make the riding I do get out for a bit different. (Smaller).

This bike will be a transfer of all my existing bits. Looking to ascend closer to HHSRB greatness, or at least give fat tubes, skinny rims something to get excited about.

First issue with build up has been understanding what an OSBB is, and what I'm going to do about it. It's currently got a shimano BB installed, and I've fitted my GXP crankset using a non-drive side reducer sleeve. It spins smoothly, but with a fair bit more resistance than the BSA GXP BB I've taken it from. Has anyone had experience with GXP reducers before? I don't think it's going to be a permanent solution, but I'd rather make sure the bike fits before forking out for the correct BB.

Hoping to have it more or less ready to ride this weekend.

Good condition handlebars with only a few small marks on them. Only thing of note is that I took a dremel to the little plastic cable covers to allow better mechanical cable routing (a neat job if I do say so myself). I guess a fully integrated set up might not look as neat as Specialized intended? The plastic covers are available for around £8 online if it bothers you.

Always wanted to see an aero Rotor ring on my hidden bolt Sram cranks, but imagined the tasteful thickness difference in Rotor rings was the reason I'd not seen the combination before. Took off a mil with the Dremel and router attachment and bob is my uncle. I think it looks great, we'll see if it shifts.

I wasn't aware I'd rubbed away the anodising with the dust, but it's not so apparent after a clean thankfully. Fingers crossed it doesn't kill me.

Anybody know what Raleigh this might be, or have any experience restoring one? It’s not far from me, and I’m tempted. Just a little worried I’ll be faced with odd standards and won’t find anything in my parts bin!

Put the Bikedoc bars on tonight, took maybe an hour. Routing four cables wasn’t awful but not an enjoyable experience (is it ever?). Pliers and cable liner helped.

Quality seems ok, maybe not what I’d hoped for for something twice the price of other AliExpress bars. Definitely not a premium product like the Aerofly II I took off. The shape is a bit odd, square-ish tops and the forearm dip. Should hopefully feel better after taping. One thing I did notice is the bar ends are much tighter, a good bit more material than the S-Works, bar ends won’t go in even before tape 🤔

Anyone else used them?

Farsports F1 is probably the most recommended option. Also The One Pro bar, or Avian Canary get good rep! Not sure about conversion caps. Never used any of them as they wouldn’t suit my bike, but always been interested

From the reviews I’ve seen, a lot of people are getting them very quickly. I was surprised to see they’d arrived in the country so quickly, so might be worth a shot!

Bought some BIKEDOC aero bars from AliExpress on August 31st, they arrived in the UK on September 2nd. Evri misplaced them so they only came today, but still very quick!

These are 36cm c-c and 42 in the drops, almost wish I’d gone for 34cm at the top as an experiment but will mount these and see.

Quality looks pretty good, a bit of a squarer shape than the Aerofly II I have now. Going on a fully mechanical bike so we’ll see how routing is this weekend.
