The omnipollo ice cream sprouts are very good as well - beer hawk had some last time I looked
Funnily enough the best one I had was with a De Molen Rasputin (it is possibly my favourite beer).
A few borefts beer festivals ago someone was selling ice cream made with various Dutch beers that were stupidly good - I never got their name though so don’t know who to look out for.
Nope, I don’t run massively hot (weirdly for a fat bloke) and I’ll always have a base layer on, only a very thin one. I wasn’t any hotter than usual that’s for sure.
Went full craghopper today and it worked really well - hiking shorts and kiwi long sleeve shirt over the top of bibs and a merino base. Not only was I comfy, I also looked like A Certain Ratio in 1981....
She’s resting up in a hotel I think, unwell, but determined not to scratch.
Does Bjorn ever take those glasses off?
Bloody great picture that though
Can’t actually remember, will dig them out. They’re actually really nice, Schöller fabric etc, bit longer than the production fixed shorts were.
Maybe it’s time for me to flog my sample pair of fixed shorts that I picked up at a sample sale years ago that I’ve never managed to fit my fat ass into....
Nice bakery at 1127, is where I always got my breakfast when doing Harwich - Hoek (before the coffee and bike shop at Kijkduin opened).
Elsgeesterweg off to the right of that route goes through a load of flower fields too - we stopped at the Euro amp there a few Easters ago and the riding was great.
I was of course zoomed in...... basically the road between Voorhout and Rijnsburg that goes past Koningshof
I can’t ignore gravy....
Actually was looking for a Japanese odyssey thread.
Pound to a penny it’s gravy made with Maggi gravy granules, which gets thicker the longer it’s heated.
Stephane’s Instagram story is more than a little heart-breaking right now
Massive congratulations @skinny - that was a job and a half
What the other guys have said, plus - even the very best have had the same issue with their necks, as Skinny will attest.
In slightly related news, up pops Kristof setting off to try and do a LEJOGLE in 5 and a half days....
Sounds like you’re making sound decisions despite the mood swings. That seems half the battle to getting through it.
Can’t find it, just looked through the transcontinental YouTube account and it wasn’t there on a quick look. What’s always struck me (being someone who is very bloody grouchy when tired) is that so many people are actually so well mannered at checkpoints etc - his manner was quite jarring at the time.
He was also an arse at one of the checkpoints, all on video. Can’t remember the details but I do remember it got my back right up.
Amazing how we end up getting emotionally invested in a dot on a screen (of course, it’s more due to all the snippets of info you see around that, but still, I’m sat here willing him on when I should be planning pallet flows)
After seeing something on twitter and checking his feed hat160 looks like he’s having a moment and might (only might) be about to bail. I am hoping that he’s gone to the train station for foodbthpugh, but it does look like he’s gone up something steep and thought “nah”
See also skinny’s chest infection (3years ago?) where he took a day out and then got to.... top 5?
You’d think that that would show up as stopping more than moving more, no?
So, in a day and 19 hours, Bernd has been stopped for 44 minutes? Really?
This is my 5th year of dotwatching and that still blows my mind
