Yeah that makes sense and the thread suggests a 14.5mm but ie read elsewhere that a stronglight double from that era should be a 118mm, also according to sheldon where he shows dims for old TAs.

yeah fixing it with helicoils might work. saw your post about the RH TS, might try that guy at london fields

just found this message from AGES ago but wondering if you had any luck finding a TS left crank arm. I also managed to ruin my thread and so need a new one. Let me know if you managed to find anyhting, would be really helpful as am struggling to find anything!
