I'm still confused on building regulations, and whether I need to get building regs involved if I want to DIY insulate and plasterboard my attached garage? theres alot of talk about 'conversions' but I'm not sure I want to convert? there will still be a garage door, no new windows or doors and its purpose isnt changing from 'workshop/dumping ground' to any 'living' space.

Yeah can hold but ideally would get it into my S&S isa before the end of march and it seems to be getting worse (for me) week on week atm.

does any one know any good books/guides/articles on the practicalities of DIY converting an internal garage?
no new windows or doors, need to block up the garage door from the inside, insulate foor ceiling and walls, and make sure i dont fuck up the gas/elec meter.
I want to read up on things like the building regs process and want it to be legit.
considering investing in some tools for other projects but its mostly only worthwhile doing so if i am sure i can actually do the conversion myself.
will be getting specialists to do any of the electrics and plumbing bits.
fair point, no’s all around
