Didnt see it there :(.
I have seen bits about the pre cursa's chain-stays flaring out a bit and people resorting to longer than recommended lengths in some cases.
Would running 4-5mm out be the end of the world for a couple of steady months before getting a miche crankset or the like? May just get a 111mm ISO BB and hope for the best :|.

Hey,
I have been "googling" for the past 2 hours to get my head around general considerations with BBs and chainline to no real avail.
I am getting a Dolan Pre Cursa (68mm English BB size) and a set of Ambrosio Prestige Cranks (ISO taper) from a friend to go with it.
Thing is...what BB spindle length will I require? What BB will I need to be as close as possible. Will be getting some (cheap, I know) Planet X AL30 track wheels, which do have some good forum reviews tbh.
-
Sadly the headset refuses to be removed.
The BB is also a loss as the tool costs a good £30 and nowhere around me seems to have the tool.On the brightside I will include a Specialized Avatar Gel saddle in the sale as a sweetener.
Crankset - Athena 170mm (popular opinion sways to athena more than chorus) - £75
Rear Derailleur - Athena - £25
Front Derailleur - Athena - £25
Ergo Shifters 8 spd Athena - £60
Seatpost - 27.2mm - £40
£200 including postage for the lot! With the free Specialized Avatar saddle (seem to go for £30-40!).

There was/are competitions for the quickest martini made.
You can just take a chilled cocktail glass, pour half a shot of your chosen vermouth in...swill it round and discard it. While doing that have the decent measure gin being stirred in another glass full of ice with your spare hand.
Double strain the gin in to the pre-washed cocktail glass, take a rough cut of lemon peel (minus the pith), bend over the glass (you will see the oils fly off the peel in to the drink if you look closely) and then drop it in. Martini in 30 seconds. -
Where I worked, two places had very similar recipes close to this one. But the joy is make it...change it to how you want it next time. Dont like the basil? Throw it. Many places dont put it in...but I like it.
Dont do the whole leave it aside for a few days: just make small cubes of the ccumber and add it to the boston (or mixing glass). As for celery bitters, you could vary and use a couple of large mint leaves and a drop of ordinary bitters if you have some to stir in with the mix to give it the herby bitter edge.
Simple syrup is basically as much sugar in water as you can get. Play with the amount in the drink as you make/taste it to suit what you have made.Recipe: English Garden Cocktail, inspired by Gordon Ramsay Steak
By: Web GangstaSummary: This is our version of the English Garden martini cocktail that is served at Gordon Ramsay Steak at the Paris Las Vegas resort
INGREDIENTS
Hendricks Gin
Celery Bitters
1 cucumber
simple syrup
Fresh lemon juice
Fresh lemon zest
Fresh basil leaf
Fresh ice
INSTRUCTIONS
Peel cucumber and cube into 1/2-inch sized chunks.
Fill a sealable glass bottle or other container with the cucumber chunks. Pour gin into container to cover cucumber, then seal and place aside for a few days
When ready to serve, chill cocktail shaker with ice
Add three shots of cucumber-infused gin to shaker
Add 1/2-shot of simple syrup to shaker
Add one shot of fresh lemon juice to shaker
Add six dashes of celery bitters to shaker
Stir lightly to combine ingredients (do not shake).
Strain into martini glass that contains a basil leaf and one or two of the infused cucumber cubes. Garnish with lemon zest
Sip and enjoy!A more home friendly version and closer to what I remember as the original before it got tarted up. Add all ingredients to a glass filled with ice, stir untill it is diluted enough to your taste and strain in to a cocktail glass. You may want to add some sugar syrup (even honey may go with the lemon and apple..youll have to try it) to take the bitter lemon and elderflower edge off.
I personally would try adding a basil leaf floating on it for garnish (as fragrance is half the taste) and take it off if it does not go. One cucumber slice for garnish. All I say is experiment, cocktails are like art/cooking...its not a strict set of rules.
2 shots Hendrick's Gin
2 ½ shots pressed apple juice
1 shot elderflower cordial or St-Germain Elderflower Liqeur
½ shot freshly squeezed lime juice
Cucumber slices, for garnishing -

I guess so, but I dont think Hendricks was ever sold as the G+T type drink. The USP was meant to be the cucumber infusion (they actually cheat and its added at the end chemically I believe - although I could be wrong and mixing my rep talks up).
So it has a taste to it but still quite delicate but nowhere near as close to vodka as bombay is. -

Haha, ok its a bit of an industry joke.
Usually, the botanicals are stooped in the neutral grain spirit, giving much more flavour in the gin.
Bombay pass the steam through a copper type container with holes in in order for the neutral grain spirit to pick up a faint hint of the botanicals. The actual juniper/citrus/spice notes in bombay sapphire are so weak its so much closer to being a vodka than a gin. It is probably as effective as throwing the botanicals at the product once it had been bottled.
It is probably a money saving technique, so they can re-use the botanicals to produce much more slightly flavoured "gin".

I had the wonderful (and not so at times) pleasure of working in 4-5 cocktail bars and 5* restaurants in Leeds and the area.
When it comes to spirits, it really depends on what your after. I mean dont start putting tonic water in tanq 10...its just stupid. Tanq 10 is a lovely balanced gin and by adding a shit load of tonic, you get one main flavour...tonic.
If I am drinking, id use maybe Beefeater 24 for a traditional martini (I like them slightly dirty, dry and stirred), plymouth (maybe the navy strength) for a vesper as the vodka is just very plain on its own; plymouth can always do with a lemon kick up the arse.
Gordons is great for partys and splashing in tonic...cos its cheap and tonic+lime kills any flavour what so ever.
Hendricks makes a nice cocktail called "English Garden" or "Garden Martini". Its a nice drink for summer cocktail menus. Except for that...the flavours are too tepid for splashing in tonic water.
Bombay is vodka. If you look it all up, they use what we called the "tea-bagging" method to infuse the botanicals...leading to an essentially flavourless gin (i.e. vodka). I wouldnt want to use it for anything else than making people who drink it feel slightly more superior than Gordons just so I could laugh at their stupidity.
For my G+Ts, I like Beefeater or plymouth. They have plenty of flavour than just kicks through the tonic to actually give you a real G+T (ie. a good 50% mix over lots of ice). The plymouth is a little more expensive, but I liked it on house pour and has a good clovey/cinnamon/earthy type edge to it.
My 2 cents :P.
