The banal commentary is beginning to get to me...
In particular the little dig I just heard as the peloton went past a wind farm.
"what an eyesore, I don't care if they are 'environmentally friendly'"Keep your poorly thought through daily fail opinions off the airwaves.
Sitting at work, forced to furtively check in on progress, is marginaly more frustrating than the advert breaks.
Thanks to whoever posted this: http://gaps.letour.fr/us.php
It's so much better than the guardian's feed, so far anyway. Anyone else pretending to work? How are you keeping up with the tour?

You'll probably want to get a bike shop to fit the headset cups, although it's also possible if you have a wide enough vice (or wooden boards and a mallet) and are careful. The bearing race which sits on the top of the forks you could also fit yourself, but you need a section of pipe or a collar of the right size to push the race down onto the fork steering tube.
As the fit of the cups on frame and forks is by interference (basicaly they are squeezed on) it's a bit of a brute force job, but one that you do need to be careful over to avoid damaging the running surface of the bearings.
Whatever you do, don't use a metal hammer on the elements of the headset. If you have no other tools you can place a piece of wood in between the hammer and headset. If you aren't confident then I'd strongly recommend you get it done by a bike shop.

Bit of a necro but I don't seem to be able to create a new thread (i'm new, hi everyone).
I havea 2010 Specialised Langster which I use for commuting. I've used it throughout the winter since I bought it last summer and it's had its fair share of rain, mud and road-spoil.
Lately, I've started hearing a creaking/cracking noise as I pedal. I can actually feel small vibrations through my feet which coincide with the noise. I used a to be an avid MTBer a few years ago and I was very used to similar creaking, which i'd understood to be loose cranks (I had a friend who swore by using tin foil to shim the BB spindle, never worked for me mind!).
The cracking and vibration are a little new to me though and I'd rather not clank my way around town so I'd be grateful for advice on what the problem could be and corresponding solution before I empty my wallet for a new crankset.
But isn't that cancellara near the front with Andy on his wheel?
Anyone see where contador is?
