hi guys, this is all a bit overwhelming
your totally killin me here, glad your having fun!
any questions drop me a line at sam@caramelcycles.comto answer a few questions:
the rims were not drilled, they were actual schrader to start with (weird yeah i know, got them off a chinese dude in bethnal green!)
i laced them myself with one black spoke on purpose, it leads/point to the valve and the spokes i repainted myself (yep, they will get scratched- it was an experiment to build some wheels myself and see how they looked with a leader spoke)the white peugeot, yep had some rusty second hand parts and same as the orange peugeot. Yeah i talked it up too, but it is quite rare, have only seen 1 other in London and some people like that... Others want generic Charge or Specialised. The prices for vintage bikes on my website are bullshit, i dont imagine anyone paying that price, its for display only, like a shop front
Im 32, but your all probably older, smarter, more handsome, better mechanics and have prettier girlfriends
the track bike parts that needed replacing were replaced at the beginning, because i knew they were crap, so i replaced them
the KMC chain that someone found at CRC for 3.99 is probably a different model number. i've just used the RRP from Fisher Outdoor (the big company were i get some parts from)
the default of the template i used for my website listed colosimo as default delivery. ive corrected that to now say royal mail. thanks for the scrutiny

Hi all, thanks for your comments and advice,
im glad you all got a laugh from my crappy videos and stupid wording! All im trying to do here is bring bikes and parts direct from the manufacturer to save you guys some of the mark up that shops charge. Shop prices are rip offs cos their margins are massive, so they can pay big retail rent prices. Im not a businessman cashing in on trends, im just one person, with mechanical knowledge, trying to get good product to people directly. And thought asking questions on this forum was a good way to get opinions from experts.
The track bike on my site that you guys were laughing at, has now been removed from my website. I bought it directly from the importer, and yes it had a few problems. A learning curve: i had to replace all the chains, stems and brake pads, but they were light and fast, with ugly chunky welding, flakey paint, steel from chernobyl, yep, but what do you expect for £200? Think they were much better value than create bikes, and hopefully will last longer.
As poly said "... if you rather pay top dollar for your bling to be reassured of it's absolute value" thats fine, go ahead. Im trying to do something different, trying to cut corners on expenses to keep my prices lower, without compromising on quality. Trying! So maybe you guys should test out my stuff before burning it? Sometimes, just sometimes, you can get good stuff cheaper, thats all im trying to do.
The Creme Caramel bikes on my site are vintage frames with nice lugs sourced from UK, france and italy, sandblasted and powdercoated and fitted with branded new parts (much better than the heavy steel cranks and tinny brakes that Foffa uses). The scruffy racers, yep i will add rear brakes for legal and safety reasons, but personally i only ride with front brake, and prefer my bikes like that.
Next year, im trying to bring in large SS bikes for tall people. Has anyone noticed how the biggest bike you can buy nowdays is only about 58cm? So i've designed a 64cm frame and had a sample made if anyone wants to see it?

probably because of the french threaded bottom bracket instead of the common as muck english threaded (there's italian threaded BB, but there's a lots of BB out there for them).
it's only because it's hard to find a french BB for the frame, but that's fine since Velo Orange release a french threaded bb (finally!) and not only that, an threadless BB as well.
Thanks edscoble, finding out the hard way!
my new pedals won't screw into old french crank arms either :( -
