Possibly the only Vernon Barker lo-pro in Australia? 24 inch front wheel. Dura Ace 74xx everything (except for Ultegra/Tiagra 11-19 corn cob cassette -- story found here http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=36393). Maybe should have gone Mavic GLs but don't like the look when the anodising rubs off.

Thanks Bjorn.
Realize it was tongue in cheek but nothing wrong with polished rims. My Vernon Barker that is actually nearly finished (polished up nicer now).
The VB will only be a Sunday ride probably alternating with the new Bob Jackson (fixed) so carbon rims should be okay as not a daily ride. BJ due next year though.
Cheers.

Hi JaseyJase,
I post on BNA as well and have posted about Matuzmaster in Hungary. I think he may have some Moser pantograhed stuff. I bought my Moser from him and have nearly finished it. Although I went the pasta, rice and fish 'n chips route with a bit of Italian, Japanese and UK stuff on it.Cheers.

Thanks mate. Looking at doing an 800km charity ride next year here in Australia and I believe some parts are quite mountainous. I ride 45-17/18 here in a reasonably hilly city on my 22km commute and it is perfect. But long descents and ascents would kill me with just one choice of gear and the roadies/bunch would get away I reckon. Glad to hear there is not much noticeable drag as this is a great solution for longer mountain rides.
Cheers. -
Hi Mate,
Do you ride around in 2nd gear most of the time changing into the other 2 gears for ascending and descending? Is there any drama with riding around in the middle gear most of the time and is there any noticeable drag that bothers you? Or is it quite negligible?I couldn't find the 'lash discussion' using the search function or going through a lot of your posts.
Cheers.

Thanks guys. I wanted a straight top tube as I have a sloping top tube with my Vernon Barker. I did the BJ in bike cad and didn't like how it looked with 700/700 and didn't mind the nod back to the old days. Like in this picture I did as part of some family photos we took.
Excuse the crappy scan - looks much nicer in the flesh.
Everything is Dura Ace series 74xx including the stem and seatpost. Took a long time to cobble it all together.
