decided to start riding fixed again after stopping for a few years due to a pretty nasty hip injury. so first things first i need a new bike. i used to ride an old colnago and have decided i want something a bit newer that wont break the bank, ive got around £500 to spend and would prefer a complete rather than searching for parts to build a custom.
been thinking about maybe a quella one, what do yous lot think?austin.

ive got a cheap campag italian thread bottom bracket in my colnago. the problem is my cranks wont fit properly they fit but if i tighten them just a tad too much they rub on the bb cup and if i loosten it a tad it just comes loose and falls off, so ive took off my cranks and swithched them over (put the right crank on the left side and vice verser). so my question is if i removed the bottom bracket and put it in the WRONG way round would it cause any damage to the frame/bottom bracket

didnt know were else to post this. im currently considering buying a new frame ive got my eyes on a nice project its only a cheapish gary fisher frame and hes only after pennies for it. the problem is its a 52 i currently ride a 56 which is comfortable. would this be too big a leap in sizes? the only real reason i want it is because its a 1.1/8th frame and id prefer something a bit more sturdy than my colnago. and of course the toss up between elegant colnago fast road beauty or a ruggid gary fisher street machine???
what should i do?? -

hey, doing a clear out of the garden and i need to sell my tandem. its very old, has two knackered brooks saddles, a really wierd brakeset that will need replacing it has no markings that indicate make/brand just a gold sticker that looks like its been made recently it simply says "the excel" im not looking for much at all it needs alot of work and TLC oh and it also has horizontal dropouts so it could be made fixed/singlespeed. will post photos shortly

might do like phil. big problem is ive just come out of hospital with a blood and bone infection the bone infection was located right in deep in my hip so riding is really difficult let alone trying to stop or slow down i suppose i could fit a brake but i dont wanna ruin my gold rim haha. been contimplating running freewheel for now with my front brake on abut. the skid comp would defentiley be out of the question ha. but yeah i might do how many people usely show up? i know a lad who would come providing he can get his mits on a back wheel.

hey, dont how well this will pan out but anyways.
dont know if anyone on here does any fishing but i though it would be a good laugh if a few riders fancied going fishing at maybes south shields pier? lots of fish and easy to catch. and of course to bring the usual bikes and beers. never really been to any events but im sure ive probably met a few of you. -
