all black, freewheel remover included, DK 12t freeweheel also inc. but I understand they were pretty shit.
havent used it in years, good nick. Only kept it because I had some weird kind of affection for it, probably because its been on so many of my bikes and seems like it was pretty much indestructable.
anyone interested? I'm hoping for £50 because part of me doesnt want to sell it....

this looks well good. need to try this myself sometime. cant offer any advice for something like this, but Ive travelled light a fair few times. I do know there is no need to carry a gas cooker and camping shit if you end up camping out and its wet.
simply buy six cans of beer. drink them. cut them in half, trying to make the tops a little jagged. dig little holes in the ground, put the cans in them so they are stable like, fill them up with paraffin, or meths. light it, and just plonk some kind of metal plate (we used flimsy aluminium dishes) on top. youll need some form of oil, either way it gets hot enough to cook steak. and not rare either.
you can do it with fewer beer cans too, but, six is a good amount.
better way is with baked bean tin with several holes punched in just above the level of the paraffin.

I really like the look of powergrips as foot retention, the idea is so simple and Ive had a go in a couple (granted on mountain bikes) but they hold my feet really well, so im thinking Im gonna buy some fairly soon.
however, I got big feet, and I like a large platform for my feet to stand on, and Ive got loads of bmx pedals floating around that Id like to use (I dont want to freestyle, I just want to use the pedals) rather than gather dust in cupboard, is there any way you can get powergips to work on bmx pedals?
if not, anyone want some battered old JIM C's left pedal pretty worn. got pins, but nightmare forcing them thru due to pedal grinds.

Almost certainly. The question is how fast can you go, and what is it like when cars are coming the other way? I have often ridden unlit roads with just a cateye el-510 on low - far dimmer than the fenix. I close my left eye when there is a car coming so i will still have one dark-adapted eye when they have gone, and i sometimes take a second el-510 which i turn on at full power just to descend quicker. The brighter your lights are, the less you can see outside their beam.
thats cllever. gonna remember that

put it on a timer to conserve power? i.e. turns on every ten, twenty, thirty ,minutes and pings out a signal which you would be watching for. go on a techhie forum, or even better, Im sure if you hung out and made friends with some EEng type fellas /comp sci kids and offered it as a project theyd do it for fun and its something to put on the CV.
hook them up with sex too. not many girls on the kind of courses they are doing. know any sluts?

recently built up a decent beater for effectively no money. was running lovely until my brother had a go and fucked it. NEVER letting him ride my bike ever again. cunt. now I need new cranks and pedals. pretty certain I can source pedals, but if any cheap going would be much appreciated also.
so yeh, any shitty cranks will do. prefer strong and heavy to light and scary.
cheers

nice part of the world. unfortauntely is correspondingly expensive. often i get well paranoid, thankfully didnt when i went. would go again.
however recomend staying somewhere a bit on on the outskirts and cycling in for your hookers and drugs escapades. i imagine cycling about dam would have brillo. in stead we ate some cakes and being the lightwaites we are, monged out a treat and fed the ducks for 5 hours and then slept for 20. wild times indeed. chatting bollox is alway fun though.
p.s.
also try and buy shit from supermarkets and make your own dinnner as resturants are crazy expensive. no supermarkets for like 2 mile radius of red light district. -

this might seem shameless, but if you buy alot of the bits second hand and separately and build it yourself you can easily get a decent bike for under 100. maybe 150 for more modern parts. also if you dont mind getting stuff thats a bit 2003-2005. bikeguideguide and bmx-forum are good. check out anything "thecaptain" (i think thats his name) has to sell. good rating.
look for alienation stuff. its all cheap ripoffs of more respectable companies, and everyone 'in the industry' mocks them for being a catalog manufacture company, but i needed a new front rim, and i got good quality (brake paint wear), as its pretty much exactly the same design as a odyssey hazard. 20 quid new, or 10 if you go second hand.
come in crazy colours too if thats your thing.

new hollowbites....hmm itsz tempting. but i was hoping to keep expenditure to a minimum. that and powerbites are tried and true. yeh they may be creaky as hell, but ive never seen a set snap. seen profiles and all the others snap, but not powers. i may get back to you on that though. cheers
could people ask around for me for powerbites? cast the net wide and all that. would be much appreciated.

ok. am building a beater, and pretty much I just need a rear wheel ath the moment. I can build my own wheels so am looking for rims and/or hubs (ive seen a potentially cheap 32h and 36h on ebay)
dont mind if its 32 or 36 rim. 700c rim, 120mm ish hub. flip flop (fixed free ) would be amazing.
im looking to spend very little money on it. obviously i dont want the rim to be buckled to shit or the hub to roll like its got gravel for bearings. however weight, style, age, looks, scratches doesnt bother me in the slightest. i still want the bike to have the ability to go and stay fast. (i dont mind having to put more power in to get speed, but i dont want to have to keep putting power in cos the bearings are shit).
wont say no to a tire either. I dibsed one a few days ago on freecycle but I reckon thats gone already.
I have alot of bmx bits n' bobs to trade with if that interests people.
beer would ensue.

anyone who knows orchids knows they are good shoes:
In short: about a month or so ago (will check exact date) I got these shoes from source in size 12. however, dont know what size they've been using as they are a good centimetre longer than my previous orchids in size 12. Cant even use them to go out in, so Im pretty pissed off. I have ridden (bmx) in them once or twice and gone out in them once or twice, they are in very good condition. tiny bit of scuffing from crank armss, no frayed stitching. They are 56 quid brand new, so I would like to get some going out shoes that actually fit me. 20 for these is reasonable. problem is, theres not many size 13's out there (which is what these really are )
anyone who goes bay on a tuesday should message me and I can bring them along for you to have a look
cheers
