I'm leaning towards voting for Kier, can't imagine he would make any grubby deals with the press barons like Blair did. I hope RLB runs him close to ensure he pledges to keep the policies of the left.
You don't have to convince the voters you have to convince Murdoch.
Nice! I live on the other side of the A6, not been kicked out the bluebell for swearing yet either.
Yeah it’s very sensible, anyone who uses the train network outside of London thinks it’s horrific. Prices keep rising but service and trains keeps getting shitter.
Can you tell me the “hard left” policies that corbyn had?
So you are thinking an interim leader for now and then someone to lead us into the next election?
Labour leavers who didn’t want to vote again for the Labour Party because their brexit vote was going to be ignored so why bother. Lots of these still wouldn’t vote for the tories though out of principle.
PR seems to be the only way to lock the tories out.
why was she woeful? Broad manc accent, not private school enough for you? I like that the fact she doesn't take shit, she got asked some ridiculous questions and to say the tory did better, not a chance.
Bull shit, I thought she was great.
Would love it personally but I don't think the PLP would get behind the continuity team and they would also get destroyed by the press.
No one said it isn't insane!
That tweet was a huge error unfortunately and is the reason I think she can't be leader.
As I said earlier I met her canvassing and she was a really inspiring and warm person.
Joking btw, my politics are very much on the left but have become open to ideas about how we can win the next election. I’m coming around to the idea that someone posted earlier in the thread that we need someone with more of a centre/left image but with policies from the “left”.
Talk of Clive Lewis chucking his hat in for the leadership. I think I could get behind him.
I met her out canvassing, she was very inspiring and a lovely woman. Shame about the england flags comment, she would get crucified for it.
Yup he was hard remain.
That thought crossed my mind, surely not, he’s widely hated.
I’m not disagreeing with what any of you guys are saying, I’m just trying to figure it out for myself. I really hope there are some inspiring candidates and we can elect someone who unites most of the left and centre left behind them.
Moving in the right direction isn’t good enough.
