To be honest the "broken bone" pain went after about a week.
Although the soft tissues were very tender and painful (I hit the deck at about 30 mph according to my garmin)
Taping was pain free, it's non absorbent so even after a shower it was fairly dry. The taping was more for support rather than to keep it still, my shoulder just felt floppy so taping helped stop that feeling. I could still move my arm and was encouraged to do so (active recovery). Stuff like hair washing and using deodorant were very painful but again encouraged.
The main thing I was told is keep it moving SLOWLY otherwise keeping it still in a sling just heals the bone but then you need physio to get everything moving again and up to strength so basically a longer recovery time.
My recovery exercises looked a bit like a one armed version of the birdie song dance but they worked.
Drug wise I took neurofen plus for the pain and swelling and a nightol to send me to sleep. Needless to say I slept pain free and like a log which I am sure contributed to my recovery.

I broke mine and was told to wait to see if it healed.
Basically I had to be careful, keep it protected (in rush hour on the tube etc)
I was in a bad state and flinched at anything and anyone that came near me fearful that I was going to put it out again.
After a couple of days of mincing around I went and got my shoulder taped by a guy who treats Pro rugby players and felt a million dollars afterwards, a lot more comfortable and "secure" and pretty much forgot about the injury.
Two weeks later I was back on my turbo with the bars raised higher so I didn't have to stretch into them as much.
I only took painkillers at night to give me a good nights sleep.
6 weeks I was riding again, 8 weeks I was in a 100km sportive.

Make your own arse cream
1) A tub of cheap aqueous cream,
2) Equal amounts of an emollient cream (E45 or Vaseline will do)
3) Tablespoon spoon of Witch Hazel
4) To spice it up or rather get the Assos tingle add about 20 drops of tea tree oilMix together and you have a boat load of poor mans Assos cream for about 6 quid if you shop clever.

I have a tacx and don't use the VR stuff at all.
I just train with power and export to TrainingPeaks for analysis
As for breaking the boredom I either listen to music or watch a video file on the other screen.
As for stopping and getting off for the kids, I just wait for them to come into my torture chamber asking for water before I scream a sweat covered fuck off to them.

Why don't you make all classifieds conform to a template standard.
For example (with example guidance)
Item Description (>10 words)
Item Location (No items outside the EU will be accepted)
Price (Sterling only)
Payment terms (Paypal Invoice)
Item pickup location (London only)
Item postage costs and typeAlong with the OP details it will make for easier appraisal of the classified and can be moderated accordingly.

It seems to me that there are three aspects to this story: that the Americans might be breaking their own rules by spying on their own citizens, that GCHQ might be breaking our rules by spying on us via America, and that America is using their corporate dominance of the internet to spy on everyone else, apparently in violation of no rules and in accordance with the principle of 'fuck you if you aren't American'.
Most of the coverage i've seen seems to focus on the first two, but it's the third i find most interesting. How will other countries react to being so comprehensively spied on? Will we see a lot of legal barriers erected to stop movement of personal data across borders to keep it out of hostile jurisdictions? Or treaties regulating bulk spying? Maybe even an international organisation to police cross-border monitoring? Or an international conspiracy of governments against their people? Or the balkanisation of the internet?
And ironic that Obama's spent this week asking the Chinese to please stop using the internet to spy on America...
^ This - Basically the UK has "subbed" out some of its spy work to a friendly third party (The USA) in order to get around its own laws, the fact that said subcontractor is probably breakings its own laws in collecting the data and also the ease at which the mega USA corporate internet providers have granted access to this stuff is where the shit storm is.

next question ... how long will she get in chokey ?
i'm presuming it isn't the first stupid thing she's done
i've seen her other twitter posts where she admits to burying bodies on the north norfolk coast
the 10kg of crack she smuggled into the country and her false imprisonment of 3 young male childssurely she'll get some custodial ?
No custodial, a driving ban, a driving course recommendation, suspended sentence at worst, community service likely.
Depending on the crime, if she is convicted, it will haunt her through her adult career as most "Trusted" positions require a CRB check of sorts and explaining to the HR department that your CRB is flagged because of a hit and run doesn't go down too well in any profession.
Is essence, if convicted, she will be wanking old men off for pennies inside a week..................
