650B mudguards - any recommendations?
Finding myself commuting on my Vitus most of the time at the moment and am growing tired of a wet bum
Just asking before I order the spendy option of the PDWs from Condor, which will be a bit more spendy than I expected as I've just realised that their Black Friday code expired last night

Back to my geometry question - I was just looking at the Arkose and I'm now thoroughly confused - it's beyond me what some manufacturer's thinking is here.
For my height (181cm) they suggest a size large for the Arkose- eff.top tube of 578mm, stack of 607mm and reach of 398mm!
Whereas Vitus suggest a medium - eff.top tube of 545mm, stack of 568mm and a reach of 371mm
That's an insane difference?

Looking for some advice on gravel bike geometry please, for a dilemma I'm now facing. Is it normal to size down on a gravel bike?
I've always ridden a 56cm frame and so have ordered the Vitus Adventure in a large - it has less reach and more stack than any of the three bikes I ride on the road (CAAD10, Scott CR1 and Ribble 525).
Since ordering, I realised the geometry chart also suggests body sizes - which suggest a large is for someone 6'1" to 6'4" whereas I'm 5'11
I then looked at various other gravel bikes - for my height and inside leg, everyone else (Canyon, Rose, Ribble, Planet X) suggest a similar stack and reach to the Vitus in a large
I contacted Wiggle and Vitus to ask why they suggest a smaller frame than seemingly everyone else - they just pointed me to the geometry chart and repeated what it said
So, opinions on frame sizing for gravel bikes will be most appreciated

So, to answer my own question..
Wiggle will do more than is offered on their C2W website - I emailed them and they sent me a quote for the Prime wheels - unfortunately my Wiggle discount doesn't apply to C2W
I then asked Hunt about C2W and they pointed me in the direction of Swift Cycles - Swift are listed as a supplier on my company's C2W scheme and are also a Hunt dealer, so I can order Hunt wheels through them
I think I'm going to go for the Hunts - there's no reviews of the Prime Blackseries wheels yet - just need to decide 30s or 50s

Now that you are able to buy components on the C2W scheme, I'm interested in getting some new wheels, but am struggling to find ones that meet my criteria
Road, carbon, disc
Around 19mm internal width
35-50mm deep
<£1,000The ones that fill the bill are;
Hunt - not available through C2W
Wiggle's Prime Black series (just launched) - again, not on the Wiggle C2W websiteI've had a read through this website, which I found very informative

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could look at?
cheers

I've just booked flights and accomodation in Porte de Pollenca August 22-30 for myself and the kids.
The kids are more than old enough to want to do their own thing, so I'll be taking my bike with me
Can anyone offer any suggestion of rides to join etc or even, on the off chance, is anyone over there at the same time and fancies some company on a ride?
cheers

A thread started on TZ-UK a few days ago regarding Creation Watches - it seems that the days of buying from them and escaping customs charges are over - they're now declaring the full value on shipments and there's numerous reports of people being hit with customs charges and handling fees

For work related reasons, I've got to play with a bundle of Sage machines over the last year or so - I've found that out of the box, they just won't grind fine enough so that you can dial in a light/medium roast
From the factory, they're set at 6 - adjusting to 4 (or even 3) has always allowed a grind fine enough so that anything can be dialled in (2:1 ratio in 25-30s)
Plenty of videos on YT - here's the first one I found

Small tip - either grind through any beans left in the burrs, or vacuum out and then adjust to the coarsest setting, before trying to release the upper burr
