Ah was wondering if you all would be going back to the parental home for summer... none of you live vaguely nearby?
Still gives hope to what I thought was a bit of a fanciful notion... perhaps Kingston could have the first University Hardcourt Polo team? ie uni funding?! Do you have a sports soc? Would they be able to get you grounds/storage/pads?! Just a thought. :-)
i'm flying home in early july and coming back early sept. think some of us might be around during summer tho. i've started a facebook group and posted the link to the forum so they can be updated about upcoming events
and we were thinking about exactly the same thing, starting a bike polo club in uni would be wicked. i'm looking into this, already email'd the student union for informations
next year in kingston polo will be the new football!

good games everyone.
I'm glad you Kingstonians all had a go, tcman, luke, tom, helen, derek(?) and another lady I never introduced my self to..
good job for remembering most names! derek is myself, and then there are scott and grace. grace just wanted to watch the game but got dragged in to play at last. she didn't really like the idea of riding with a mallet in her hand (been off the bike too many times even without one ;) )
tcman, I've been thinking about maybe starting a SW polo night... what do you think about it? Find a court in Kingston, Dante's from twickenham, and I know a couple of others around wimbledon might be up for it...
SW polo sounds fantastic! we had the similar idea on the way back yesterday
definitely up for it
we'll part for summer very soon, that'll give us time to put together polo bikes and get better
and then back on the games in september -

Is anyone up for a bit of west polo tomorrow? My girlfriend wants to play and fears the embarsing wooping she'd get if we go north?
Me and 4 to 5 other boys and girls from uni are planning to give it a first go at WeLo this coming Monday. Only two of us have got fixed though. Is the kick-off at 6? Anything we ought to know before taking the 7mile journey?

Thinking about getting a vanilla Charge Plug, and popped into Evans to check sizing. I'm 6ft, but the small seemed about right. The stand-over height of the medium was pretty much non-existent, am I missing something here, as other 6ft'ers are debating whether to go large or medium?
i'm 5'7" and small fits me pretty perfectly. there is this apparent short of SO height (just about an inch) but it hasn't caused me any problems so far

Hi, finally back from a long summer with some news
Me and some guys from uni have just spoken to the Student Union today about starting a Bike Polo Club and now we are gonna have a stall in the Freshers' Fair next Thurs and Fri.
We have penciled down Tolworth sports centre tennis courts (which is part of the uni) as the location for weekly games.
After the Freshers there will be a meeting to explain the details for anyone in uni who is interested in joining. It would be great if some experienced players could come around and give a short talk about the game. It is gonna be on 2nd Oct 6-8pm in Kingston University. I don't have internet access in the new house at the moment but do email me I will try to check it frequently.
