I think the underlying stuff is all good. That was one of my differences with Eastman - my preference was to stick four implants in and be done with it, whereas they were insistent that the clinically best approach was to keep two of the teeth - which always gives an option of implants at a later date as a fallback

Recommendations for cosmetic dentist work?
I had a major bike smash 7-8 years back which involved a week in UCH’s ICU followed by a few years of dental surgery. It got to the point where everything is healthy, but the work was done at different times and at Eastman who value clinical excellence over aesthetics.
I want to go round again to make it all look better. Really it’s just replacing a crown, an implant crown, possibly a new crown to replace a composite build-up and a bridge.
It’s not something I want to do twice, so looking for someone I can trust.

Im still heartily recommending the long sleeve jersey and the insulated gilet. I’m using the gilet way more than I thought - say 8 degree commutes and that kind of thing.
I need some new Sunday best bibs. At 6’ and 73kg should I be looking at medium or large? And is there a forum discount code still knocking around?

Time to replace the rear rim on my audax/ commuter/ everything-that’s-not-sunday-best Roberts. 32 spoke hubs which currently have an a23 attached.
A23s are a mental £100 now, so looking for something else. Archetype on the front, have tended to open pros in the past, but have no loyalties.
28mm rubber, so wider rim preferred. Looking for a balance of weight and wear. Not too cost conscious (40-60 is fine)
What do I get?

I finally fitted the 1x11 sensah groupset that I got off AliExpress. Spent the day going round Ashridge estate with my 8 year old and I can give it the highest possible praise for a groupo costing just north of a ton. It’s totally fine.
It has a sram- type double tap lever which I find a bit odd (never having sram before), but aside from that it’s totally functional, shifts well, comfortable hoods, goes from 11t to 46t on the back, and is exactly like dura ace except not as heavy.
Can’t talk to longevity, but it’s possibly right up there with microshift and sora.

I’ve searched in vain for replacements for my Edwins. I bought two pairs a good number of years ago (think they’re ed-55 but would have to go check - they’re slim straight low rise) and both are at the end of their lives.
I keep meaning to take a pair to one of the jeans specialist and seeing if I can find a similar cut from another make.
Yep. The Eastman view (iirc) was thats it better to root canal and cap teeth as implants have a finite lifespan. If you can get 10-15 years out of the root canal, and after that go to an implant (which gives you another 10-15 years) then you're sorted for a while.
There were a few of these "clinically best" vs "quickest and best aesthetic outcome" decisions
