Hi everyone help is needed. im looking to get my first racing bike and just wondering what to get. I would like to know what would be an ideal bike etc. I haven't got much money and understand that picking up a second hand bike is probably my only option. ive probabley got about £400 and jus wanna know if i have a chance of getting a decent bike. lol

Hi i may have a 27 inch wheel. thinks its a rigida alloy rim but not sure what the hub is, in good working order. if you interested let me know and i will check if i still have it.

i am not to shabby with a welder and family member of mine has lots of experiance with welding and i get free steel which is a bonus, its my pride and joy and gonna try and fix her. will post pics of before and after if i can repair it and see what ya think. cheers for the info and will defo give some of them numbers a ring for help.

yep a steel frame, and its on one of the two bars that come up from the rear drop outs to the seat post, about 10 mm from where it joins the seat post.

Ive jus noticed a crack in my frame, im going to try and weld her up cos i cant bare to let her go. lol jus wondering if this even possible considering how thin the steel will be and if there are any alternatives? cheers

sweet. hey what are tubular tyres/ wheels? are they hassle for a bike i jus ride on the road and commute with. relaibility and easy maintanence is my aim.

she is looking good and ive just converted her to single speed. no problems with the chainline just used the inside chainring on the crank and ground the teeth off my outside redundent big one and smoothed it all which now acts as a chaingaurd. looks tip top. pics coming soon hopefully. oh yer and currentley on the lookout for some new forks. ta for the help and comments.

Thanks. doing some running repairs tomorow so will check if it is one of the dodgy ones. if it is will jus replace the forks cos its a top bike and runs a dream.

Ive just brought a cheap and cheerful racer, m in the process of tidying it up and converting it to single speed for my commute. anyways its a viscount grand prix and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it?

berlin by bike thats a little bit longer than my commute. lol

mines filthy but will be better jus as soon as i can get my flip flop wheel and get to single speed status again. and easier to clean and not so fooking heavy.lol
