Tad - Mare Street. Amazing vegetarian special for very little dollar. Favourite for me has got to be FM Mangal in Camberwell though. They get serious amounts of flavour into their meats.

Got similar to these but I hate them on me as they're too narrow for my fat crainum. Dirt cheap from spec savers. I've always been partial to that 70s pimped tint but you look a complete tool anywhere in the UK after sun down as everyone assumes your perscription glasses are shades. I'll try and find an old image of my Tom Davies...

Nice bike, I've got a Carlton from the same year. Couple of questions -

What size seatpost did you use ?
Is the headset standard 1" threaded ? I know Carlton and later Raleigh used a non standard tpi at various times

I had problems with the seatpost, originally thought it needed a 26mm, hard to find...got the seattube reamed and a 26.4 was fine for it.

Headset is standard 1". Didn't know that there were any other sizes apart from 1" and 1 1/8", maybe I'm wrong though.

Seen a few Carltons on the streets recently, one almost identical to mine on Brick Lane a few months ago, racing green red decals. I locked up on the same post so they could spend some quality time together ;)
