Picked up a 531 Zinn centaur last year and decided to build myself a Jo Burt tribute build as seen in the MBUK mags bitd with mint sauce, couldn't afford myself a 753 frame but it would be hard to tell if you didn't know the subtle differences.
Gave it a coat of white and painted on the flowers as close I could to the original.
Found out some old XT and maguras, nos campagnolo rims and finally the white onza porc tyres to finish it off.

Roberts 26" wheel snow leopard, came to me in pink glitter with a horrible mix of components for only £50 from an auction.

Promptly sitripped it and Sold all the XTR M900 off it then spent the profits on new paint and decals.

Then chose My favorite workhorse groupset - Deore DX - and set too making it a bike again,

Enjoy

Actually the bmx bar makes a small frame useable for me, I do have the original 531/501 stem and bars for if it goes back to an mtb, Really could do with a layback seatpost if it stays this way, as you can see the seat tube is quite upright, part of the design for the shorter customer it was aimed at originally...... the designers later went on and became islabikes.
