I’m thinking of moving from Alba to Ultegra with Absolute Black 48/32 rings for this reason.

I’m running this on the Spooky with a 12 speed chain (AB recommendation) and I couldn’t be happier.

The world would not be better off with less Jan and more FjallravenXSpecialized.

Jan is also a bit mealy mouthed, has a bad habit of badmouthing any of his competitors, especially bad when it's couched as a "review" in BQ (which really has just become veiled advertising).

It did, if you look at the picture .mo. posted, the handle bar attachment is in the “high” position which not only is ugly but unbalanced. The pic I posted the attachment is flipped the other direction, looking better and having a more stable position.

Ok can someone school me on Seiko Prospex automatics? Say I want to spend about 400 GBP /500 USD on one what should I be looking at?

About 10 years ago I was splitting my nights in two, getting up around 3 or 4 and puttering around for a bit and then going back to bed. I think it had more to do with over drinking and stress then anything else.

Is it possible to gut campy 9 speed shifters to make them Just brake levers like it is with 10 speed?

They looked better in person, and with the coffee cup mount in a non-silly position.

Oh and most importantly! My NOS Blackburn fits like a glove:

changed from a pearl to a dynamic, shortening the length to 110 and also giving myself a little more drop. So far so good.

Also changed out the stem mounted cable hanger for a headset mounted one. Had to grind away a bit of the underside to clean the Record headset lower.

• Brooks saddle bag, don’t know the name or the exact size of this guy. I had two of these, and this was the bigger one. $30
  
• Apidura expedition 3L frame bag. Was used by my wife 3 times on her Chisel. Still has its original tags tucked in the main compartment. $100. I also can supply an Apidura 1.5L bladder (unused) that fits inside for an extra $50.
  
• Restrap stem bag. I think this fella is unused, just been kicking around my workshop for a while. $20
  
• Berthoud water bottle cage bag. Unused. $40

Originally wrapped the bars in some thick Wolf Tooth orange tape. Too thick and too orange (also my wife HATES orange). Went with this Fizik stuff I also run on my Spooky. Feels thinner here, but so far OK.

levers may need to be moved slightly up, and toying with the idea of going to a 110 stem. Top tube is 54.5 and I’m running a 120, the Spooky is a 56 and I’m running a 110. Spooky feels good, this guys feels a bit too long. I think it’s a combo of bars and levers here.

So it may be really dumb of me, but I ordered som LB AR55s with textured surfaces to be mated to a silver Paul rear hub and a silver Son front.

Was searching for carbon inserts for the XT canti holders to no avail, so ordered some Kool Stop shoes only to find three packages of these in a drawer. Ohh well...

XTR’s will do just great. I’d spend some decent casheesh on pads though. Something Swiss stop should suffice.

Unfortunately these holders have a specific insert, while still available they aren't made anymore. Finding Swiss stops that fit might be a bit of a pain.

It’s like 90% there. I’ll probably swap the cable hanger for one of the ones that go in the headset, and I need a longer straddle cable. The front wheel needs tubeless tape and then I’ll swap in a matching Schwalbe tyre.

I bugged Aarn about a tracklocross ring, supposedly they will be available soon.

Will probably swap out the B17 for a C13.
