Hey folks,
A bit of a bike newbie here but I just wanted to ask for advice and help,
I've been trying to install a miche primato advanced crankset into my cinelli gazzetta frame. First, I used a Shimano un55 68x107 spindle bb similar to the stock bb that was previously installed in the bike (that was paired with a 130bcd crankarms and 46t chainring). But when I tried to put my new crankset in, the back of the crankarms was hitting the chainstay. So I thought that maybe the spindle length wasnt long enough and therefore, again tried with another bb but with a 110mm spindle. And yet again the crankarms is hitting the chainstay. Does this mean I just need to try with a longer spindle again? And what would this mean with my chainline?
Has anyone had a similar problem fitting in a miche primato crankset into a cinelli gazzetta before and can help?
Thanks all in advance.

Hi,
So this is it with the shimano un55 bb 68x110. With the 68x107 bb the spider arm seems to be hitting more. but with investigating further it seems like its just 1 of the spider arm that consistently seems to be hitting the chainstay. I took out one of the chainring bolts and voila, it no longer hits the chainstay. It is still really a tight clearance though. And weird how it only happens with 1 of the spiders and not the rest, an uneven crankarm maybe?
