Anyone interested in these?... The front has never run a brake and barely used. Rear will likely need a new axle and has also never run a brake.
I bought both separately from the forums a while ago and they've sat as spares taking up space in my place.
How's £50 sound? DM please!
Pickup from Hatton Garden during business hours, or anywhere on the Piccadilly line out of hours or weekends. -
Would anyone be interested in an Epson V600 scanner with 2x 35mm ANR inserts from betterscanning.com?
I'd prefer to ask here as I'm not really that keen to post it. I've had it for about 4 months and have everything that it came with (135, 120 & slide holders, power, USB and the box).
Looking for £120 and located in N22 but can meet central.

I had a similar experience in 2016 when a bus broke down on Blackfriars bridge (at the start of it, where it's still single lane)... so "logically", all the cars decided to drive up the segregated cycle lane.
I was so confused when I saw headlights coming at me. I thought I'd zoned out and joined the vehicle lane somehow.

Hey all,
Clearing up some old parts to make room for new parts...
Phil Wood 32h w/Mavic Open Pro rim. Hub is lovely and smooth but rim was run with brake. I'll do a better job of cleaning it if you buy it. Laced with DT Swiss spokes - £70
San Marco Concor Supercorsa saddle. I damaged the back a bit when I came off one time. Rails are straight though so it's purely cosmetic. It's the Bike Film Festival 10th anniversary edition, which means absolutely nothing but you might find it fun - £10
Shimano BB-UN55 in 110mm and 113mm. The 110 (£5) was used for a week and the 113 (£7) has never been mounted
Would prefer pickup - especially for the wheel. EC1 would be great during business hours or I can meet anywhere along the Piccadilly line outside of business hours.
Dibs followed by PM please :)

I read up on this a fair bit recently I think all the information seems to be irrelevant now and seems to be carried on from years ago when X-ray wasn't as advanced as it is now. The people who say it's an issue never show proof whereas all the tests I've seen appear to show that it's fine. I recently took 30 rolls through hand luggage to Scotland and back and they all came out perfect... I would keep it away from checked in luggage though as a mate in work had an issue with ghosting due to the stronger X-ray machines used.
Just keep all your film together and put it in one of those plastic baggies and keep it at the top of your bag. If the technician feels the need to increase the power of the machine (if they need to do a deeper scan), then it theoretically might cause an issue but I've never seen it happen.
There was one guy on YouTube who put his rolls through 8-12 carry-on scans and didn't see anything happen when developed.
Hand check is useful but a lot of those stern security people will insist on just putting it in your bag. I believe somewhere in the fine print in the mythical UK security policy, if it's over 800ISO then it shouldn't go through scans but I had CineStill 800 on my trip and it was all good.
The question that confuses me is... if film can't go through X-ray, then how does it get through Customs when importing/exporting?

I have common sense, which allows me to ride, walk and drive for the conditions I'm in. That helps me and also helps the people around me. Perhaps my word choice of 'everyone' was a bad one... it just needs one person in a situation to change things I guess.
It would appear in the CA case that there was not enough common sense by either party. Perhaps "just enough" would have helped.
In what way do you mean "proper enforcement". Are you referring to policing and punishment? to me that means you're passing the buck and putting your safety in the hands of others. In the back of your mind thinking that it's someone elses problem to make sure I'm safe from stupidity.

My 2c
I think common sense is what's needed by everyone, whether you're walking, riding, driving or using any mode of transport. I fail to believe that he didn't know riding without a brake was illegal - I get asked constantly by friends, family and even randoms if my bike (which has a front brake) is legal, let alone without one. 3 minutes of Googling after being questioned, or even questioning it yourself would give you your answer.
Cyclists should ride defensively and cautiously. Random driving behaviour and/or peds stepping out are something we all complain about every day. I wouldn't ride in a peloton with cyclists I don't know because they are unpredictable, and I wouldn't put my trust in a driver or ped I don't know.
Pedestrians, having right of way or priority or not should still always look both ways before they cross a road - that was drilled in to every kid growing up and it still applies when you're older. Who knows what's coming or whats going through peoples minds and being. We all see stupid and idiotic behaviour every day so a bit of common sense would tell you to look both ways, even up wrong way streets.
Drivers, well they're just a pain in the ass... however when I drive, I get annoyed by cyclists and peds... when I ride, I get annoyed by drivers and peds... when I ped, I get annoyed by drivers and cyclists.
tldr, don't be a dick

Someone either said "do a skid" or "you are shit" to me by Harringay station earlier. I initially heard the latter and was thankful for the little bit of rain that hid the lonely tear that rolled down my cheek.
