'Plus, like in the London Marathon, the nicer people are slower.'
Haha, so true
First Dynamo, fixed 48/17, longest ever ride by about 80-90 miles hahaha (my knees didn't think it was very funny) rode half with two patient friends with road bikes before they sped off. 4-5am with streams of twinkling red lights, rising sun and mild sleep deprivation was pretty magical...

Haha, if the person watching knows anything at all about lifting #easygym4life

Nice
Ok, so maybe I was relatively close to limit of my possible LP, I got up to 117.5x5x3, absolutely grinding the last ones out, then I hurt my right knee (think it might be mild patella tendonitis) so squats are going to have to wait a bit until it feels right again. I'm up to 130x5 on deadlift, but this feels waaay easier comparatively, like it could keep going up for a bit longer without much change, thoughts? -
I know this feeling, every session feeling heavier and heavier until form breaks down significantly, deload and work back through, I understand that the eating and sleeping can be reason for this. I mean actual total plateau, like your body can't actually get any stronger on the linear progression and you need to switch up programs (I have been led to believe this does happen) - perhaps this might be around 140kg x5x3 for back squat for a healthy young man? Anyone here up around that level?

29/m/North or Central London
It is LGFSS but yes sorry, I'm such a London-centric knob that I don't even think...although not as much as the person I saw asking the platform attendant at Petersfield railway station if they could use their Oyster card.
I'm doing a starting strength program at the moment, did it years ago up to a middling level, now working back to that, currently a paltry 5x3 45/65/105/112.5
Just looking for someone also doing free weight stuff, I'm currently going to EasyGym on Oxford St. but could be tempted to go somewhere else decent...

Hey, sorry to interrupt, does anyone here go to easyGym on Oxford St? I'm getting back into lifting and need a buddy of similar experience, working back towards back squat PB of 125kg 5x3 from years ago. easyGym's super well equipped and so cheap but absolutely mentally busy so it's got a bit of an unfriendly vibe...

Finally, updated Tektro TT lever and Columbus carbon track fork (original had been cut down too much, bit dangerous), just took it for whiz around, head shot outside Sainsbury's and ended at Micycle in Crouch End to weigh it on their bike scales, 7.1kg, under £1000, happy with that!
Question, having not used carbon rims before, is it normal to see the brake pads literally sanding down in front of your eyes? Maybe it's just the top surface but doesn't feel very stoppy either. Don't know brand/type but they came with rims as carbon specific...

Nice, I'd snap this up if I had any spare cash this month 😂
