I've done it on an old Mac Mini but the amount of farting about with rEFIt ( http://refit.sourceforge.net/ ) and keeping a partition for OS X just in case the machine's firmware needs an update, and fiddling to get the sound to work, means that I wouldn't do it again.
It works properly, and doesn't need any special treatment once it's set up, but the OS X-specific firmware makes installing anything but OS X a misery.

Re. sleeping bags, I have a down-filled one (a Western Mountaineering one from ^^^^^ up there) and it is great, it weighs nothing and packs down to nothing as well. Of course it, like anything stuffed with down, would be shite if it got waterlogged, and it doesn't like being packed down to nothing for long periods of time (it would eventually crush the feathers and stop them lofting up again). But treated right it is excellent, and very warm. Too warm perhaps.

The signs are better than the German ones; they're big red ones not tiny pale-green-on-white ones.

Going from Zürich to Bern you might stick mostly to route no. 5, Romanshorn to Lausanne:
http://www.veloland.ch/en/routes/route-05.htmlSwiss drivers are much more considerate than British ones, but it's more pleasant to stick to the marked routes than it is to ride busy roads.

I sent him an email a few weeks ago. He replied "we are currently working on a prototype shifter for that hub." So we'll see, but I doubt it seeing as the hub's been around for several years and if it was going to be as easy as just putting a few more clicks on his existing shifter, he'd have probably done it by now.
Still, replying to my email is the kind of service this thread likes.

Yup, frame play a huge roles, BQ did a blind test by asking a builder to build 3 identical looking frame in three different tubing to see if it's possible to notice the difference.
alias I forget what was the conclusion is, will look through my back issues to find it.
Here's an old one from 1996. Guy rides 7 bikes all the same apart from the grade of tubing; can't tell much difference between them; concludes that fit and geometry are far more important than tube material.

Sorry for big image scans of magazine article.

It's no problem to get sheet film in the right size for this camera. It looks like half-plate size, 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 inches.
I've got one of these, which I use now and then: http://www.earlyphotography.co.uk/site/entry_C178.html
Good luck with sale.
