So i've just started building my planet X fixie. The frame and seat post are second hand and I've only now realised that one of the seat post bolts has a completely worn thread meaning I can't attach the saddle. After going to a bike shop and phoning planet X both have advised me that I need a whole new seat post. Now for a 14mm piece of metal this is kinda bumming me out and I still can't believe there is no way of salvaging the post. I've attached a picture of the offending nut which I think i've identified as a 14mm M6 barrel nut? Is there anyone here who could confirm that for me and possibly recommend a good place to pick one up or failing that can I just use another nut and washer combo to achieve the same operation?
Cheers everyone

So I'm thinking of taking a punt on some internet carbon - i appreciate this is risky and promise not to cry like a girl if a box of bullshit turns up. My question though: would a rim with these measurements be compatible with common ranges of hubs (ie goldtec, dura ace, planet x etc) and spokes or will i have to go on some epic possibly fruitless hunt to find decent components that would work out
Erd:518mm Erd:464mm
Rim Width:20.5mm Rim Width:20.5mm
Rim Depth:60mm Rim Depth:88mm
Holes: 20 Holes: 24thanks
