I am looking forward to buy a set of Gatorskins, but I have heard they tend to run a bit on the narrow side.

Can You share the width (measured with caliper, or in comparision to other tire) of your gator stating the width of the rim and tire size.

I ask because I want 28mm tires and I consider buying 32c gators (I heard the 28c run at 25mm wide) but I have wide Mavic rims (19mm internal width) and I'm afraid 32c will not fit in my frame.

I have a weird problem, and I hope somebody will help me.

I'm designing my whole build in my head, but i have a concern about the seat post.

Lets start : I'm 6'1" (185cm) tall, my inseam is 85 cm (33,5"). I want to buy FBM Sword frame, and the frame size is 56cm (center of bb to center od top tube - pic : http://fbmfixed.com/imgs/56SwordSQDims-detail.jpg ) So the seat tube length from center to the top should be around 59-60cm. I would like to know, how much of the seatpost will stick out from the frame, for a comfortable riding position. I dont need a precise number, but a length range would be nice. Maybe you are about the same size as me and you can make some measurements. I will be using San Marco regal seat, which is about 5cm tall from the rails to the top of the seat, so by substracting this number, I will estimate the distance from the end of the seattube to the seat post clamps.

Also, considering my height, and the frame geometry, would the 100mm stem be good for me ? I will be using straight handlebars.

the mavic a719 rim uses a stronger alloy so bother are close enough in strength

how about lacing a719 40 spokes ? 3/4 crosses ? only 4 spokes more .. but still 4 more spokes

i need an opinion, i want to build a wheelset for city use, but something strong enough to take some abuse : i used to ride bmx, i'd like to be able to do 180s and wall rides, and i'm 220lbs. I expect that the rim will be low profile, and accept rim brakes. I thought about mavic a719 (700c) laced 36spokes 3 cross. Do you think mavic a719 are strong enough for freestyle ? if not please recommend a rim :) cheers
