I have 2 cotter pin style bbs and 1 cotter pin crankset I have no intention of using. Kat something from on here took 2 halfs(a drive and a non drive side from one and the other) as the other 2 are rather stuck. If you have the tools+time to get them out then they are yours. I'm only planning to use one of the frames which is currently half way sanded for painting. Have said once I take time to get the other crank arms off will pass them to Kat but I'm sure she won't mind you having the other if she has a set still.
Yeah that would be great thanks! Would it be extremely difficult to get them out?

Recently I had the joy of being clipped by a taxi and my bike taking most of the damage.
My pedal snapped out of my crank arm taking the threads with it.
I have a cotter pin crank but its been a pain to find a low cost replacement component however I have found numerous crank sets on here that I would install instead. Is there a way of converting the crank without replacing the BB completely? -

Back in February I was clipped by a taxi which took my pedal off my left crank arm and the threads with it.
I then bought a new left crank arm, its important to mention the bike is a early 70's Peugeot roadbike (fixed gear) with cotter pin cranks. I had to have my existing arm cut off as it wouldn't budge.
I went to put the new arm on and found it is 14.8mm rather than 15mm so it won't go on. Even with a good amount of wd40 and a hammer I couldn't get it on. I thought maybe I got a duff crank arm so I acquired two more off forum members and same again, it won't go on!
Its been 6 months since i've had my bike on the road and I desperately need to get it back, tube fares are killing me!
Does anyone have a solution, preferably the cheapest option.
I considered getting a new BB and everything but apparently the threads run in the opposite direction so even that wouldn't be very cheap.
Help would be hugely appreciated guys.
Thanks
