Ok..
So the bottom thing where the Bottom Bracket should be mounted(what is that called) is 78mm wide.
The inside of the tube is roughly 42mm. Roughly because I can't do a proper measurement right now, it is not completely disassembled yet. There was no threading on the left side? not sure about the right side, I didn't take a look.
Question... what size BB should I get? length?
My god, I know nothing about this bike business.
-
Spend as much on a BB as you possibly can, I've always been a firm believer of that, and last week I yet again prooved that to myself.
Have a Dura ace & 600 BB right sat here in perfect condition, but not the funny 6prong tool to fit them, so instead for a 4day tour (with a few short sharp hills) picked up a cheap UN52/54 BB for about £15
So yeah, day 3, whats that noise? few hours later, fuck, chainrings are scraping the damn chainstays.
BB bearings had collapsed. Had to knock on doors until I found someone who knew someone who had bike tools so I could respace the BB way over so that its metal grinding failure would not fuck up my frame for the remainder of the day and the next. That 4day old cheap un52/54 bb is now safely back in the bin where it belongs.
**
STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM CHEAP BB's**I appreciate the advice.
But this is for a cheap build, commuter bike. Not serious rough riding.I think the UN54 will fit the bill, it fits the price anyway, and it seems that alot of other people have had luck with this product.

Those are standard Zenith, System Ex jobbies. Check the bottom of this table for their use with OpenSports, laced 32 3x.

Confirms what I found via SpokeCalc. For a build like this just go with standard double butted spokes.
http://www.cyclebasket.com/m9b0s454p0/Components_/Spokes_-_Stainless_Steel_Double_Butted_-_Silver_My god that is cheap for spokes. Thanks.

These?
http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/HUOOLF/on-one-large-flangetrack-hub
62mm flange diameter
31mm C-F (front) 34mm C-F (rear)Assuming 608 ERD.
In which case I get 64x 294mm spokes
(294.3mm front, 293.8mm rear)Yeah, those are the hubs.
Will see if I can find some nice spokes to go with them. -
I actually get 293mm rear, and most likely slightly longer for the front (greater distance between flanges). I'm not convinced I have the right hub dinmensions though.
Worried me, as I just ordered some 293s to rebuild my fixed wheels, which have the far deeper cxp33 rims. Turns out the flanges on my new hubs are tiny.
Annoying really. I had one busted bearing, which led to me getting all gorilla like with the spanner and threading the axle. Replacement bearings, along with a replacement axle assembly. Cost as much as a new hub FFS.
Is that 293 for my wheel?
with on-one hubs 32h, and Open Sport rims, 3 cross -
Go with the opensports then. They're solid rims, not too heavy, and very well priced. With the open pros you pay a bit extra, and save a little weight, is all.
The important thing IMHO is the eyelets. These make it easier for you to tension your spokes, and easier for the spokes to untwist themselves when you de-stress them.
Just post any more queries here.
Thanks, I will stick with the sports.
I will return when it's building time.

Could someone help me with spoke length?
I bought these hubs, one front, one rear:
http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/HUOOLF/on-one-large-flangetrack-hubAnd these rims:
http://www.bike-mailorder.de/shop/Roadbike/Hubs-Rims-Wheels/Felgen/Mavic-Open-Sport-Felge::5585.htmlI have found some spoke calculators, but can't find all the numbers I need.
Thank you.

My bike. First day riding it fixed today.
It looks the same as always, it rides like never before... DAMN I love it.
