Hi All am New here and fairly new to fixed gear ..have commuted on various geared bike around london for a while ..I've just finished a fixie build of a 1989 Kirk Magnesium road frame I had .
This is my first fixie It has taken about 2 months to complete this build. I used a old (made in UK in 1989 by Frank Kirk) and very rare Kirk Precision cast Magnesium frame that I have had in the garage for a while. It was originally a 10sp road bike but the derailleur hanger broke off and could not be fixed as its almost impossible to weld or solder magnesium. I had it in mind to build it into a fixie for a few years and now it’s done.
