Awesome day today, slightly achey legs from the polo geared ride but totally worth it. Thanks to Winnie for organising it and thanks Ed (some of those kids were hating your left handed ways)!

I'll be back for another session soon, might start thinking of some different drills, kids love drills (maybe).

Thanks to you we have another outlet for the kids of Penge. 8.45 this morning I received a reminder to make some mallets from two of yesterdays attendees. Awesome...let's hope they continue.

Yup I know, facebook is an a*&^! Everytime I write 2.30 it rewrites it with its own start and end time. Go figure!! I will be there cleariing the court of debris from about 1 ish.

Hi, sorry for the delay, have been waiting for the Parks people to get back to us. We've decided to push on anyway as we have to use the money we've been offered or lose it.
We would like to run three sessions before April. Utilising the last three Sundays of March (13th,20th,27th). And then we would like to follow this up with three more sessions when the weather gets a littler warmer to attract those who only venture out at such times. Would anybody be available to coach/facilitate o any of the days noted? Penge is friendly with warm pubs for apres polo activities.

Brill guys, I've a meeting this morning with the parks people from bromley. I'll nail some dates down then. We wouldn't necessarily need six every week but will take what we can get. Winnie

As we know nuffin 'bout Polo rules etc - we would love your inspiration and knowhow. We will organise the days, just need you guys to teach/coach/be there to inspire. We will pay. Can we also buy sufficient balls from you/anyone. Can we pay someone to make up small mallets (we have plenty of ski poles, just no experience). More importantly, we need days/dates that would *suit you all. *

Hi Guys, We've managed to secure some funding from Playsport London to put on 6 sessions of bicycle polo locally. We have to use this money by the end of March. The funding bid was set for 3 adult sessions and 3 junior sessions. But we would envisage doing it like last summer. WFQ

Two this weekend. Not to worry. I should have been in touch sooner. If no one else is available I'll talk with the club coach and postpone.

That's fantastic . Thank you. The Sat session is for the Go-Ride Club, not all the kids who were there last time. Do you have a min age? Club starts at year 3 so approx 8 and above.

If you can do two days that would be simply awesome. One for the kids and one for the community.

A big big thanks to all of you who came down yesterday. The guys absolutely loved it. A few people also kicking themselves for not giving it a go. They hoped it would have been a smaller affair with fewer people so that they might have had a crack at it.

Wicksie - def got a few talented kids who want to come to peckham during the week.

'I don't think people know that there are prizes, free beer and it's for the kids.'

Hopefully for the community at large. Hoping for a good turnout to watch and maybe take part. The notion of riding and coordinating a mallet has a few wondering.

Beer will be in the Bridge Tavern which you'll find next to Penge west stn A few quid will be behind the bar courtesy of SE20 CYCLES. Prizes only for winning team (I was told not to spoil you) see you tomorrow.

We are currently applying for funding through Playsport London to put on events for the 'Friends of Penge Parks' this includes ye olde Crystal Palace park.

If we aren't successful with our bid, I will fund it myself through the shop!! As JP stated, upto four coaches per session to put on intro to Bicycle Polo for ages 8 and up for 6 sessions.

for kids upto 11 we will have access to some merida kids bikes. I'm hoping there will not be too much clanging banging collisions at this level!!!!!!

Beers afterwards in the Crooked Billet across the road-yeah i'll fund much of that too>
