Hi all, I recently refurbished an old steel raleigh racer. A well made lugged steel bike with 12 gears. It has a little corrosion here and there, but nothing serious. Some of the chrome has come off the wheels, this affects the looks not the performance.
It is in good working condition with surprisingly powerful brakes and good solid shifting. It has a brand new chain and new grip tape.It has 27" wheels, unfortunately the tyres look quite perished. The inner tubes aren't coming through anywhere so I've left them on as they still function fine.

After you guys kindly pointed me in the direction of the correct thread and also gave me some feedback on the setup, I've now been for a ride and refined it a little:

I've changed the stem and moved the seat forward. I've also adjusted the angle and position of the brake levers. I had it set too long for me. It's definitely an improvement, although I'm sure there's more I could do. I realise the frame is a little small for me, but if I can get a comfortable set up then I'll try it for a bit.
Once again thanks for the feedback.

Hi all,
I recently aquired a frame and forks (still haven't been able to identify). Also my other half and another friend got frames at the same time. We've spent the last couple of weeks sourcing parts and yesterday we started building.
Comments welcome:

I'm not convinced with the stem setup at the moment, but I'm going out on it tonight for the first time so I should have a better idea then. Also hope to finish the GF's bike tonight (not pictured).
