I've a niggling knee and hip injury caused by me breaking my hip a few years ago. Physio say its gears from now on so I'm selling my Dolan FXE. I've used it for short blasts as well as century rides and I'll be sad to see it go. It’s a great training bike/commuter.
There are a few scratches which I've tried to highlight in the pics. Heli taped where the brake cable touches the frame. I've also added some reflective strips to the frame.
Gearing is 42x16 which I've found fine for riding around Bristol. There is a freewheel included which I've never used. All the bearings are running smoothly with zero play. Lots of life left in the rims and tyres.
Size is 52cm and the geometry is located on the Dolan website. http://www.dolan-bikes.com/dolan-track-bikes/track-bikes/track-aluminium/dolan-fxe-aluminium-fixie-bike-black-gloss.html
Matt finish not Gloss. Click on geometry. I'm 176cm if its any help with sizing and I'm running a 100cm stem. Bars are 42cm C to C.
The bike is in excellent working order as you'll see from the photos. Very little wear on the drivetrain and lots of life in the pads. Rim wear is also minimal. Some damage to the saddle (its an old Fizik Aliante with carbon rails). Some scratches on the driveside fork leg from leaning against a wall (see photos).

Based in Bristol and would prefer the bike to be picked up. Please email me if you have any questions. My email address hwepangatgmaildotcom.
Looking for £375.00

To be honest it was kind of a gift, hence I don't really wanna take money for it, just looking for a trade. I'd say its worth about 160 or thereabouts, so offers of similar value. Ideally I'm after a plastic front wheel, or a decent crankset/bb, but would welcome any sensible offers.
What kind of chainset are you looking for?

nice job!! who did the powder coat? is the chainstay bridge OK? lorra lorra rust in original pic?
These guys did the powder coating http://www.realitymotorworks.com/
All the rust was removed and it was ok underneath. £55 for the frame and fork.. Masked it well and it came out really well. Pretty thick though so some of detailing on the fork crown is lost. -

Finally finished the renovations on my 50's bike. All original except the stem which I replaced because it got damaged during removal. I had to fit the following new items-chain, tyres and bar tape. I had the cranks re-chromed here
S and T ElectroplateThe Alpha Centre Armstrong Way
Great Western Business Park
Yate
BS37 5NGThey did a great job for only £50.00 + vat.
Sorry for the crap pictures. I'll get some better ones outside when the weather improves.

Agreed Teddy, just needs a rag over it. It's a beauty.
Only planning to lube and polish the bike. The hubs and bottom bracket still need lubing which I plan to do next week then I am going to use some fine wire wool to remove the surface rust before polish cranks, hubs, spokes, stem, etc...
No plans to change any parts on the bike as I wanted to keep it as it is.

That is very special. Chater Lea cranks, pedals and hubs. GB spearpoint stem, GB lever.. all top notch stuff. Is there a serial number at all, apart from the Nervex numbers? On the BB or rear drop out? What do you plan to do with it, restoration wise? Looks all original. Just wants a good clean and polish in my opinion.
Yes I am planning to clean and polish the whole bike. I have already regreased the headset and pedals. The hubs and bottom bracket will be done sometime next week then I plan to ride it although the super narrow bars are quite scary.
I'll post some more pics once I get it cleaned up.
