With four weeks to go there are only a few places left for the 100 mile Sportive version, more for the 100km but filling fast.
If you want to ride, enter now - I'm certain that there'll be no entering on the day (and you save money entering in advance)
The routes have been finalised and will be on the website at www.shakespeare100.org.uk during w/c 23 August as .gpx files and route sheets.
Event jerseys are almost sold out too, only about 15 left.

Rides at Stratford-upon-Avon - 12 Sept 2010
Two great rides ...MacRide 2010 - 25 & 63 miles for the leisure and pleasure cyclist - see www.macride.org.uk
Shakespeare 100 Sportive - 100 miles or 100 km with some challenging climbs
... both enjoy fantastic countryside and a start venue with free parking (for 800 cars), toilets etc and great refreshment stops/feed stations.
See the websites for online secure entry and a chance to buy an event jersey for just £25.
Last year we raised £36,000 from these events - that's 840 entrants - we're aiming to exceed 1000 this year!
Rob
OrganiserPS - entries are flooding in, we expect to close before the day and to not be able to take on-the-line entries

Hi,
Would love to enter one of those (can't do both on the same day!), probs Mac ride. Just got a road bike with actual gears so charity rides are very much what I want to do.Might be an idea to enter sooner rather than later - entries are flooding in and we're expecting to have to close before the day - and don't forget we have a fantastic event jersey for 2010 at just £25 (and ALL the money from the jerseys goes to the charity, thanks to the sponsors)

Yep - I'm in Stratford - very much a touring, leisure and pleasure rider - but I do ride a fixed from time to time (bright orange Claud Butler with bullhorn/chopped drops) ... I'm the nut with the 14 or 15 bikes that lives in the houses opposite The Greenway.
Oh, and I organise the MacRide - www.macride.org.uk and the Shakespeare 100 Sportive - www.shakespeare100.org.uk - both on Sunday 12 September 2010.

Start just by the Velodrome at Stratford E15 and ride to Stratford-upon-Avon - fully supported with overnight hotel package etc ... it's 100 miles or so on quiet roads.
All the details and online entry at www.macride-tour.org.uk - some places left for the London start.
It's doable on a fixed/single-speed ... no real hills ... I'm doing the recce ride at the end of March and plan to ride fixed.
