Blimey @Velocio this must be a kick in the feels.. I am like many eternally grateful for everything you have given to our forum..
I vote for a massive bike pile and perhaps an old school message board somewhere like LMNH in the future.. oh wait, ffs..
I do hope there is an archive to tap into, so many memories, memes, quotes, pics

One thing you are guaranteed with Fred Wesley, is that he covers the full spectrum of jazz in his performances, traditional, blues, JBs, P-funk beautiful tributes too, you drink it all in with his commentary.
I said to Fred two years ago that we will continue to see him when he is in London, at 81 years young he still has funk in his trunk, his band equally top draw
I personally think that live gigs keep him going, a true performer a lot of love and respect in the room. In conversation at the bar with Dwayne, he talked about a strong unbreakable connection for over thirty years.
Mrs M always seeks out Fred’s daughter for a chat, who is a constant at gigs, it’s all very special and highlight of my year

You joke Corny, one person..
Ebony’s mum and brothers are absolutely solid.. bad playlist.. the poignant moment is her reaction and pain shared with Michael Holding in the wake of BLM, which could have ended her broadcasting career.. and heartbreak of losing one of her brothers to knife crime. Just to have understanding around living in the UK surrounded by prejudice, backing oneself, having a voice for change and better lives for all..

Listening to BBC Radio 4 medicine, blood transfusions, despite all the prejudice in America, this incredible man truly prevailed

The segregation of blood banks on racial grounds took the American Red Cross a very long time to apologise.

https://www.searchablemuseum.com/tignon-laws
History snip.. essentially in 1786 the Tignon law was passed following complaints that black women had too much luxury in their being.. notably their hair.. from one of the poorest state in America ffs..
Fast forward to dress / appearance code in the UK secondary schools a few years back, limiting hair styles and length for girls in secondary school.. this should be covered in their education about discriminatory laws based on race, culture and heritage..
