Meet at Waterloo 11:00 at the ticket office for groupsaver. Leaving with the 11:32 arriving at Effingham at 12:24

Route. 49 miles. Four sweet gradients with a total of eight climbs. Hard level. (Whitedown second lap is facultative) The full job must be done within four hours.

Top guys sprinting up and down wherever the fuck they want(jealousy), but waiting at junctions(revenge).

I'm not sure that the ride will be backstopped... I will let you know later, probably no, but we will wait at junctions, maybe.

Everyone welcome, but I guess a good level of idiocy is required, and better be proud of that.

Route looks lovely and lumpy, but what's with the A25 fetish? It's not a pleasant road to ride on, especially with the 16 or so of us on the last ride. There's plenty of alternative routes and closely parallel it, or at least end up in the same place.

Nice loop with good company, shame it was cut so short and would be nicer to start earlier.

Got fairly pissed off just before Leith hill by the prat buzzing a fairly young horse, passing within inches. The car overtaking at the same time topped it all off. The horse was badly spooked and was verging on bolting.

The very same prat was barking at motorists for passing too close just 20km before.

6pt's pulled out of this to do the Rapha tart ride (you can tell where his priorities lie), so there's a space on the train now. Might meet you down there if I can work out somewhere to park.

Edit: Turns out Dorking station car park is free on Sundays. Will be driving down from Bromley, PM if you're local and want a lift.

Some Dulwich riders have got an unofficial little ~40mi loop going each Thursday night from Cafe St. Germain on Crystal Palace hill, meets at 6pm.

Last week's ride would've been fine on 72ish GI, but possibly taking in Chalk Pit Lane in Oxted tomorrow (Thurs 3rd), which exceeds 20% for a half a mile, so gears might be a good idea.

Social ride, good for putting in the miles mid-week at a medium pace.
