mmm.... A folder is a good idea - I like the idea of taking lots of time - working indoors, so I don't think using my bike to hold the wheel will work for the misses.
Anyone used one of the Minoura stands?

Yep - ordered the second one from ChainReactionCycles and it arrived today. It is the same as the hubjub one, at a great price, free P&P, and quick turn around too!

so where should the hub ideally be on standard drop bars?

Are you planning on doing the Ashdown challenge fixed?
I live near there and have done a few of the mentioned hills fixed, although there is a lot of climbing going by the route on Bikely. Sounds like quite a fixie challenge!

Yep. I get this all the time on Surrey's lanes too!!

well.... like I said I'm not cycling all the way every day, just building up my fixie legs at the moment. It's a great location as it's close enough to get to London in an hour or so whilst very close to the country side for some great weekend cycling.
