Our bakfiets (electric retrofitted) was stolen yesterday evening in Deptford (Lewisham), at about 6:55pm. The theft happened near the busy Deptford High Street, corner with Douglas Way, whilst I was waiting for a takeaway.
The bike has a black frame, the front box is made of wood and has the battery below the bench. The bakfiets is registered on the police bike register. Please let me know if you see it around.

I am very happy to share that the Bakfiets was recovered early this morning. We were alerted on Facebook that the bike had been seen on Harton Street. Luckily the thieves didn’t manage to cut through the padlock and chain attached to the front wheel. They stole the battery pack though, and cut the back wheel lock.
All good in the end and we are very happy, again. 🙂
