Since I had both a campag and shimano I was able to swap them around but from memory I think the internal section profile of the freehub was different, so it required a slightly different axle, I think that was the only difference in the end - I think all other bits you could use either. But I would certainly check with manufacturers documents and don’t quote me it was a while ago!

Ordered a new seat post hasn’t arrived yet but would like to get some Hexlox in it while the Black Friday offer is on... trouble is I don’t know what size the two bolts are and whether or not they are magnetic!!

I need to swap out a shimano 11 speed freehub for a campagnolo one, question is before I get going..

Is the axle and all the other innards different? I have a sneaking suspicion that the axle is different.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Also interested to know what the best grease to use here if I take it all apart fully and degrease.

Campagnolo Record 11 speed front mech band on, 35mm clamp, very slight wear to inner cage plate as to be expected from a used front derailleur but otherwise you wouldn't know it had been used.

Asking price paid, surplus to requirements at the moment.

Thanks for the responses, he has been in contact this morning - luckily he has managed to undo it with lots of wd40 a hex and a rubber band. Lots of hassle saved on both sides! I think had he not been able to remove it, I would have taken back the frame, assessed it for damage, then refund and relist.

Wondering what people think about this current ebay predicament.

I sold a nice carbon frameset in lovely condition a few weeks back. The seller was very happy until last night I had a message to say that one of the bottle cage bolts is seized and he can't remove it. He subsequently sent me a message to say if he can't free it he wants a refund. (He said he would soak it in wd40 and see if that does the trick first).

Of course I didn't think to check those bolts.. My thinking is, if he can't free it using a variety of pretty standard methods available first, I will suggest to pay for it to be removed professionally. I feel this would be the appropriate response to this since he wanted the frameset, not send it back as if there's no way to remove a siezed up bolt?

Can anyone share their thoughts..?

Ah I didn’t think about turning out the bolt a bit to leverage off that.. I have a bearing puller myself, just not the plug..

I can’t see it being an issue with a carbon crank since that’s essentially all the park tool tool does just with something to protect the back of it...
