Decided to clean my chain on this beautiful sunny day and I've misplaced part of the masterlink!

Anybody got a spare one lying around or am I okay to go ahead and just get rid of the masterlink with a chain tool?

Had a little look and a play.

I have no clue if this is what is causing the noise, however my chain line was not completely straight and if I pushed the chain to one side slightly whilst the back wheel was rotating then it made a very similar sound to what I have been hearing. Could also explain how I've felt this through the pedals.

Could this be the issue I am having or am I being a total idiot?

I will give the bike a clean down and rebuild tonight to make sure it isn't just just that. I will have a little look tonight at it all if I get time. Will post results in here.

It's only recently started to make the noise since rebuilding my bike so believe that it could potentially be the crank arm against the chain stay. Will have a look in a bit! Sounds less worrying that I thought haha

Just need a quick bit of help!

Currently riding fixed brakeless and when I pedal/brake/skid hard a noise is coming from around my crank/bb area (or thats where I believe it to be coming from). I can feel the noise through my pedals and am slightly worried about where it could be coming from! The noise it makes is the sort of noise that banging a metal pole against my frame would make.

Excuse my ignorance, I'm a bit of a tit and new to the fixed gear scene.

Yeah, currently using GP4000. Got some risers on the way now which should be nicer for city riding

Getting there with my bike. Want to buy a new frame but cannot justify that at all at the moment. Current set up:
Aventon Mataro Frame and Forks
Deda Pista Bars
Mavic Ellipse Wheels and Hubs
Sugino MC130 Crankset
Sella Italia Q-Bik Saddle

If anyone has any suggestions or anything at all it would be greatly appreciated. Only got into the fixed gear scene about 8 months ago.

Thinking of buying some riser bars next, anybody got any suggestions for anything under £50?
