A block of wood in a rear pannier/one of the panniers on the madjax box should be fine.
Leave it in the box when I go somewhere.

I guess, I’m just trying to make the what if scenario easier to manage

Has anyone got a "this jack works" or "have a piece of wood this size" to hand so I can have it on my bullitt in case I need to get the rear wheel out?

Why can’t I undo the thru axle on my rear wheel ?

nah - normal mtb gears and shifters. no coaster.

I took my bike along there, left it for a couple of days, came back and it had a mid motor fitted with the cranks and bb and stuff, and the originals we handed back to me. It’s not gone wrong in the year I’ve had it, new chain though.

On a bullitt, with a madjax box. Frequently seen running around SE London with either 1 11 year old or 1 11 + 1 5 year old. Can propel both kids up college road and wells park road.
Kids mass is probably 75-80 kg up front. Rider is 70 kg.

How do I connect up lights to the battery I have, in simple talk?

Yep, she’s mega skills on a bike. And super capable.
It’s about belief and desire and anxiety about getting killed/it being hard work/ getting dropped/being on the front/ etc and so on.
If you can put fix that with cycle training , that would be grand.

It’s pretty terrifying when you’re up front and at bonnet height and some bell chief is being all “lean back in the car seat, check my phone, drive with one hand”.

My eldest needs to ride more but anxiety about traffic is one of many reasons that stops her. Hills in SE London and riding with me are others.
