Might be a solution to that soon...

Fitted a larger chainring and clearance is tight at the chainstay. When I put down the power there's a noise that sounds like the ring is catching the chainstay. Could it be lateral flex of the crank/ring (Sugino Messengers, cheap alu ring) or should I be looking elsewhere?
edit: Or frame flex causing the buzz? It's a supposedly noodly Cotic Roadrat

I'm currently commuting 16 miles a day each way on mainly flat terrain with three minor hills each way. Usually a headwind in the morning, tailwind in the evening. Fixed of course.
If I want to transition into TTing (and I do), what's my best approach? Turn the commuting miles into training rides (incl. recovery) or just zone 2 all the way there and back and get a turbo for building power separately? A carefully blended mix of the two?

The CBR and YZF125s are a waste of time. They aren't sports bikes, they don't feel like sports bikes. Seriously, a battered old 500 is a rocketship compared to them. You pay a massive premium for one that's not shagged out and if when it falls over (and it will) your repair costs will be a fraction of the amount unless you're a fan of smashed plastics.
A carb CG125's the dream really if you're on any sort of budget. Get the disc brake model if you can, massive improvement over drums. Once you get used to riding and know where you want to go bike-wise you can upgrade. It's just a tool to get used to riding the roads.
That said, if you can afford it then Varaderos, due to the premium and looks, tend to be looked after really well and give you much more of a big-bike feel.

Looking at potentially purchasing an Argon E80 frameset. Can I draw any real data from this graph other than more expensive = more fasterer? Is it really trying to say drag from the frame is 20% more at 0 yaw than a full bongo sleeveless frameset (however little that amount may be in watts)?
