Maybe the exalith 2 brake tracks, think the original exalith wheels were earlier poss around 2011, they had curved lines and were unidirectional I think, the exalith 2 have straight lines.
Amazing braking performance on them even when wet, but I chewed through the first set of pads or so.

Yeah it was cracking thanks. Its an annual event, but I'm not a member of a club or a classic roadie, and it's open to all. If your in bcn then it was on one of the meetup groups and someone cross posted it to my work

Ah nice, we didn't go via terrassa luckily, just followed the lobregat river valley back to bcn.
At the start of the climb it started raining and didn't stop till after we reached the top but then it was a long cold 9k back down in soaking clothes.

Nice climb up and I want to go back and explore the other routes over and around montserrat in the future.

Having always rode with mates rather than a club I was quite surprised how much I enjoyed riding in a big group in a gran fondo last month. So today we rode from Barcelona to montserrat and up to the monestry and back, great ride and thousands of cyclists on the road. Last event if the year for the catalan cycling organisation and they close the road off for the 9k climb to the monestry.

Thinking about making the transition to clipless pedals, but confess I know nothing about them.

As a first time user what should I be looking for, are some easier than others to dis/engage with? Do some designs models have more options for compatibility than other in regards to shoe choices, or does this not make a difference?

Any advise for a first timer would be appreciated.

Had a temporary wheel upgrade whilst replacing the tubs.
Aiming to upgrade the groupset to something more modern and buy the rear wheel too when the cash is available!

Clocked this corker in Barcelona, from what I can tell there is a shim on the inside of the post as well and they have jammed the weight down over the collar to hold it all in place.
