Hey folks!
I bought myself a nice and used 90's road bike on eBay in your lovely City (M46 area) for some warm workshop hours and decent winter training . Now I am searching a way to get it to London.
The Problem is that the seller cannot get a bike box from a local bike shop. So the bike is unboxed. I searched for some pickup couriers, but it seems to be quite expensive to do that (50-70£) That almost the money I paid for the whole ride. :/ I considered taking the train but tickets in the upcoming time as not less expensive as a courier.
Is anybody from Manchester coming to London in the recent time and could do me the favor of delivering it to here? It could even compensate for it a bit (but just not 50£) and buy some drinks on top.
You would do me a huge favor!
Thanks !

Sounds reasonable. Did the paint hold?
What are the differences in the Fresco and the Forte frame? I feel like they are pretty similar with the fresco just having an alloy fork, where the forte offers a carbon fork. The frames itself seem similar.
There is also rare information about the Victory 30 wheelset throughout the internet, there are some information about their road counterparts, but that's it. Is it possible that the victory 30 track wheels are just some 420 Aero hubs and spokes combined with the victory 30 rims?

The seller lives in M46 area. The problem seems to be to get the box from the shop to his home. He has no way to carry the box, he said.
I feel like he is not really into shipping the bike as in getting a box, packaging and stuff. Rather he is in like pick-up on the bike. But maybe its just the lack of proper knowledge of how such things are done, I dunno.
I on the other side would much rather prefer to get the bike in a box, but I don't know anybody from Manchester and cannot just get there and take it. :-/

So,
I bought myself just recently a new winter beater on ebay. The seller is happy to post it, but I have to take care of it. It seems that the seller cannot get a bike box from a LBS to pack it, though. What can I do? What options are out there to get the bike from Manchester to London? I heard that there are some pick-up couriers, but they are probably around 30 Punds. Is that the only way to go?
What kind of posting options would you guys recommend?
cheers

Hi,
I am searching a ride for usage during this Winter. I am not planing to use it longer than the beginning of April and would sell it around that time (just staying 6 months in London).
I am on a budget, so I would go for a cheap ride, or an old bike. All I need is:
- ~54cm frame size, with roughly 54cm Top tube (Or 55 or 53).
- Integrated Brake and shifting Levers (STI/Ergo)
- Max 11,5 Kg weight.
- Overall Budget is 150 Pounds (+/- 10)
I will get myself a fitting handlebar around 40cm width ( allthough I am happy if the bike has already a fitting bar ) and I will attach my pedals.
As I will only use it to stay in shape during my stay it doesn't have to be fancy or something. After all its the rider who makes (hopefully) the difference, isn't it :D
I also take your Columbus Aelle Steel bike with first gen 600 SIS Sti's on it.
So, just drop me a message
Thanks!

So, By now the seller got a box, and boxed the bike up. Unfortunately, the seller is only available from 5:30pm onwards every day, making choosing a pickup service kind of hard to choose. Any pick-up service I have seen so far offers only wide time slots. Does anyone know a service where I can define a more precise time slot for pick up?
Drop off seems not to be an option, according to the seller. Things are really complicated these days.
