Greetings!
Price drop to 650€
I'm selling my road bike regretfully, as it hasn't been ridden lately, only sporadically over the past two years.
Specs:
- Seattube: 56cm C-C
- Toptube: 57cm C-C
- Weight: 6.95kg without the pedals (with an upgraded gruppo & lighter fork sub 6.5kg should be easily doable)
- Groupset: Full Shimano 105 with a triple up front
- Wheelset: Mavic SSC (Carbon spokes) bought the wheelset NIB and put about 2k on them before I put the bike away. Wheels are 100% true and braking surfaces good with no concave wear.
- Full Carbon finshing kit (seat, seatpost, seatpost clamp, integrated 90mm x 41cm bar/stem)
- Tyres: Continental GrandPrix (70% left)
- Cinelli Mike Giant handlebar wrap
- Fibrax Superlight cable guides and teflon coated cables
The frameset was custom built by MIFA in Germany, probably for an employee there. I bought in Berlin and couldn't understand the full story, as I don't speak German, and the seller didn't speak the best of English. The decal on the bottom of the frame shows it was manufactured at MIFA, and the barcode, when scanned, shows a serial number of 01/01.
The tubes are beautifully shaped, hydroformed bare aluminum with a clear coat on top, smoothed welds, and carbon seat stays. It's a very light and responsive ride, and it climbs beautifully. I had her at over 90km/h on descents, and she is very stable.
What's bad:
- The top tube has some minimal scratches and chips in the clear coat that can easily be remedied, tried to capture them in pictures but they're barely visible. As shown in the pictures, a minimal dent from my cleat when swinging my foot over once. The dent can only be seen under certain light conditions and is otherwise not noticeable.
- The carbon seat has delamination in the seat part (not the rails) and makes noise occasionally. It was a manufacturer defect for which I got a refund, but I've ridden it that way for quite a while. So replacing the seat is debatable, I think.
- The downtube top water bottle cage mounting screw rotates in place. So I mounted it lower on one screw and the bottom of the cage with a ziptie. Any bike shop should be able to remedy that easily.
Other than that, the bike is stunning, shiny, and in great condition. Also a blast to ride. Had a hard time pricing this, so feedback on the price would be appreciated.

Hey guys,
I'm forced to sell my beloved Colnago because of an unfortunate family situation...
Disclaimer: The head tube has been repaired as there was a small crack when I purchased the frameset (unknown to be at the time of purchase).
My aircraft mechanic friend (who repaired the damage) stop-drilled the crack, welded it, smoothed it, and took some reinforcing aluminium sheeting and welded it around the head tube (He also tested the carbon fork with an ultrasonic aircraft scanner to see if there was any cracks.. I wanted to make sure the fork was not crashed or damaged because of the head tube crack). Pictures of the repair are in the pictures link.
Then the frame was bathed in a chemical stripper to take off the original paint and was powder coated graphite and has new Colnago decals on top. The headtube is now stronger than from the factory and there is no detrimental effects in riding/handling. I've put (according to the odometer on the computer) just over 3100km on the bike after the repairs, and all the components on the bike were brand new out of the box for this build so they have the same amount on them. The bike is pretty much like new.
