It's annoying he made contact (it was literally a brush, but apparently still counts) as the police say I need to report it as a road traffic collision rather than a close pass. That means court, witness statements etc, and it would never stand up given that you can't see anything from the camera, the other cyclist might back me up but seems like a load of hassle for a £50 fine and a slap on the wrist.

I should have done and normally do, can't explain why I didn't on that day, just wasn't really thinking about it. I think he went to overtake not noticing the traffic island then went for it anyway rather than stopping, he was close enough for his wing mirror to make contact with my shoulder (nothing major, but still indicative of how close he was). What made me so angry was that after this island there was nothing on the other sides, loads of room to overtake and a red light at the end of the road. There was absolutely no need to overtake there, he was just being a c**t. Also agree with the speed thing, it's a street crying out for a speed camera.

This is why we need to take primary position - Had a van driver try to squeeze between me, a traffic island and a parked car this morning, so close his wing mirror was against my shoulder as he went past. When he stopped at a red down the road, got out of his van to reprimand me for calling him a c**t (heat of the moment thing for him trying to run me down, not my strongest moment) and claimed it's my fault for not shoulder checking when I was simply maintaining my line. @lamby do you have a 2016 update for the list above?

@Velocio my parents live in Italy and my dad mentioned one his friends makes all of the kit for the clubs in the area. I think he speaks fairly good English, if not my parents would be happy to be middlemen, do you want me to get in touch for future orders?
-
Thanks @Skülly will give them a go!

Had some guy wearing a pollution mask not shoulder checking or signaling today heading up blackfriars road, mm away from knocking me off when he pulled across. Took me telling him that it's polite to apologise (plus a few other words) to get him to say a half-assed sorry. Lucky I was in a good enough mood to not turn his poncey mask into a teeth catching sack. If you're on here, you sir are a tw@t of the highest measure.

Had a guy in a taxi pull across me into the bus lane whilst looking directly at me, unwavering, I think he wanted me to lose my temper and film me doing it on his dash cam. I didn't, just casually flipped him the bird as I breezed past him in traffic. #entrapment

Also sorry, realised the Turbo saddle is actually a San Marco Rolls...
